Okay,
So I searched through the forums and found similar problems that I'm having, but the help that was provided didn't do anything for me.
I'm trying to get the standard Versa weather app to show current location and I would also like the weather app to update automatically.
What I've been doing to get the weather app to show the location I entered in is to have the weather app open on my Fitbit and syncing the watch to the app. That allows the Fitbit weather app to contain the weather info for around 10 hours or so before I need to re-sync it. Before a recent update, that sync I would normally do would keep the weather for basically all day. I never ran into a problem with the Versa not showing my weather throughout the day. I would just wake up in the morning, sync my watch to my phone (with the weather app open) so I get to see my sleep data and also get my weather updated for the day. It's not like that anymore because of a recent update. So, I'm almost forced to address the problem of my Versa not showing the current location and not syncing automatically to constantly show the weather.
I really don't know what to do because I think I've tried everything. I tried this Fitbit instruction page that is apparently supposed to fix the problem, yet I cannot seem to find that page at the moment to show what I have tried. Still, someone might know where to find it that's reading this and might share it again for me because I'll give it another try. Still, I've tried it twice. Maybe I did something wrong?
Any help is appreciated!

Hi, if you go to Apps - My apps, is the weather app still there? If yes, press the settings icon right next to it name and press "Add a city" and manually enter the exact location as in current location would be, f.i. London UK. It starts searching and once found press it and add it and it will appear on the lost of added cities. After that, restart your phone and sync it with the Versa. This should solve your problem. Works for me always at least, hope for you too!!

I already had two cities that I want to see already entered in. So, I restarted my phone and synced the watch. It still said "Updated 60m ago". I'm not sure how long that will last though. This seems to familiar to what I've done before.
I thought I'd try your way more literally too. So, I deleted all cities and just left Current location there. That can't be deleted anyways. I also restarted my watch. The new Weather app settings took over and now I have a watch that displays my current location. It also says "Updated 13m ago". What I'm going to do is give this a test and see if the Weather app updates automatically before I add any more cities
One of my cities (before I deleted both) was my current location. So, maybe the current location won't display if the same location is being used for a fixed location weather. I hope this isn't the case though because if I travel, I would have to add my current location in and then take it out when I come home. This ain't THAT big of a deal, but it would be nice to not have to worry about it. One less thing to do and worry about in life is always nice, no matter how little it is.
Anyways, thanks for the tip! It's something different, so I'm excited it might work! I'll keep the message boards updated on my problem.
Anymore tips or experiences are welcomed too!

Hi, you can in the Weather app maximally add two cities, if you add more these will not be listed in the added cities. There is no problem, when you only have Current Location in your weather app, to follow my earlier suggestions.

It's not possible to add more than two added cities in the Weather app, is it?
I always thought that the Versa Weather app could only show 3 cities max. One is your current location that is always there and the other two are of your choice. That is how I understood it, but maybe I'm wrong. I don't know how to add more than two because the current location city is not a choice. So, three is the max, right?
Isn't this how the Weather app works?
Okay, so I tried your instruction again.
I had all added cities deleted and left the current location there (since it cannot be deleted). I then added the exact city that would normally be in current location. I then restarted my phone. I then synced the Fitbit app on my phone to the Versa watch. The only city I see is the city I live in. The Weather app says, "Updated 42m ago". I don't know how often it updates though, so the auto-update could still be working.
Thanks for the help!

You're right about that: besides the Current Location (which seems not to be working), you can only add maximally two added cities, not more.

So, even if I have only "Current Location" and no chosen cities, the Weather app doesn't automatically update the data. I have to sync the Versa to the phone with the Weather app open to get that app to update.
The "Current Location" knows my location, it just doesn't update the Weather data even if my phone is in my pocket.

I had a similar problem it was only accepting the 2 cities I entered and not showing current location This is how I got it to work on my samsung s9:
Settings
Connections
Location
Locating method change to "high accuracy"
This didn't work until I restarted both the phone and the versa
Working now, current location plus 2 cities! Hope this helps you!!
