Weather app on Versa

I am having a hard time with getting locations to save on my weather app for my Versa. I set a city (in addition to current location being turned on but not working either) and then sync and the location is gone! I have called Fitbit 4 different times and even spoke to a Supervisor but all I am told is it is a known issue!! I had a blaze first which stopped reading my heart rate 3 months after purchase but I chalked that up to it being an almost obsolete model. I bought the Versa in March and had to get a replacement 12/5/19. The weather app DID work but now will not show current location or cities I have added! I have restarted, synced 1000 times and even removed and reinstalled the app and the device to no avail. My location settings are on always through my phone but the locations I add will NOT Save!! I searched the forums and tried all suggestions but nothing is working! As far as the “known issue” I cannot find even one other person in my area or otherwise that is having this issue! Please please please help!!!

Hi @LisaKara  , a warm welcome to the Community!  I apologize for the delayed response. Thank you for the information provided and taking the time to call our Support Team and trying to solve the situation by yourself. 

Could you please confirm if the situation persists?

If so could you let me know if you get an error message? And if what does it say?

In the meantime, please try these steps:

  • Have a look at this article How do I set up and troubleshoot apps on my Fitbit watch?
  • Please make sure to manually sync the Versa.
  • Leave Fitbit app running in the background of their phone.
    • Restart your Versa
    • Please on the phone, go to Settings> Bluetooth, and remove all connections that exist with the watch. (Forgot, ignore or unpair the device depending on the version of the operating system of the cell phone)
    • Turn off the bluetooth and restart the phone. (switch off and on again).
      When the phone is on again, turn on the Bluetooth again, but DO NOT try to connect to the Versa from here.
      Go to the app. From here, try to set up the watch as a new device

Hello Juan,

Thank you for your message. I (again) went through all of the steps you
suggested but I am still receiving a message of “No location information”
on my watch. I add the city and state in the gear portion of the app and
sync the watch but inevitably it disappears after the sync. Every time. I
have toggled with Bluetooth, synced hundreds of time in many different
stages and removed and reinstalled the device at least 20 times! Please
provide any applicable suggestions to try and get this resolved.

Hi @LisaKara , thank you  for your reply and further information. Our Team was informed, and they are working on a solution. They haven't provided any time frame yet, how long it will take. 

If I receive more information about this, I'll be more than glad to let you know.
