I’ve been practicing yoga on & off for years; as well as deep breathing. I’ve done the deep breathing exercises on the Versa 3-4 times now. I keep getting the term “alignment low” in the end results. What in the world does “alignment low” mean? There’s no description I could find anywhere. I also posted it in the community forums & only received cheers! Cheers are nice but, I need an answer!
Thank you.

I just did the breathing app for the first
time. I found my breathing was slower than the app. Following its suggestion felt forced. My results:
Alignment Low / BPM 57-55
I think alignment low is because I did not follow and breath in/out as
the app suggested so not in “alignment”.

I like the vibration so I don't have to look at the dots, I close my eyes and just feel the 1 vibration for Inhale and 2 for Exhale. I agree that the breathing rate is not accurate, I breath slower! I wish there was a way to customize the breathing rate you'd like.

I have similar problems. I have a v slow pulse, and breathe slowly. Trying to breathe with the disk speeds my heart up and makes me agitated, not relaxed! I get a liw aligment message even though my bpm is 54! V silly indeed.
You’re completely right about this. It needs more work as it is the opposire of relaxing. They need to take tips from something like RespErate ... which helps liwer blood pressure v well fir many ppl. Personally i have no problem relaxing so just don’t need this app, but if i did need help, don’t think This app would help at all.

I only get this message your 'alignment is low' when I'm in the shower? Why is there so little information to explain what it means? Thanks

Yes, that’s what I found too. At first I was trying to do slow deep breathing and was getting a “Low” then I tried it again and focused on the circle and breathed in rythym with the circle and scored “Medium”. It takes practice. 👍

Thanks for your reply. I only get this message 'alignment is low' when I'm in the shower, my fitbit starts to vibrate for me to follow the breathing technique. Does this also happen to you? Thanks again

I agree. The small vibration when you should begin to inhale is nice. The exhale vibration totally kills the mood. I will probably get used to it eventually, but it would be great if the exhale vibrations were as soft and subtle as the inhale vibration. Maybe the exhale could be 2 soft vibrations instead of 3 large ones, or a slightly longer lasting soft vibration? Thanks Fitbit for this app though! I'm excited to continue using it!

Thank You , that is reassuring , thought I had done some thing wrong, still not sure what a realignment is anyway, and why it was low.

I know this is an older thread but came on to see if I could figure out the whole "alignment" situation. I originally had a Charge HR but it broke a little over a year ago and never repurchased until a couple days ago...I was really missing the visual to show me how many steps I take and especially my sleep cycles. Anyway, I LOVE to meditate thru deep breathing exercises and love that there is something right on my Fitbit to help me with it. However, I am 100000% in agreement that they need to figure out a better way to help us thru that rather than sparkles, circles and text on the screen. If we are constantly looking at the screen and having to readjust according to what it's telling us to do, it defeats the purpose of trying to relax, breathe and align our breaths with our hearts. There has to be a better way.

I agree! Why isn't someone from Fitbit monitoring these fora?
