From what I understand, the only difference between the two is that the ionic has built in gps and versa has connected gps. That’s why the ionic is $100 more.

They are basically the same thing. The versa has the women health on the watch.
Versa is sleeker in design. I myself would get the versa.

Thank you so much! I think the Versa is probably a better choice for me personally— Thanks again!

Hello,
Just to chime in here. If you frequently use GPS activities (walking, running & cycling) then be aware that the Connected-GPS on the Versa can be sporadic and unpredictable at times. There are multiple threads on these boards regarding issues with it (including my own experience using it). That's not to put you off buying one, but know that the built-in GPS on the Ionic is far better performance-wise.
However, if GPS tracking isn't your main thing and you just want daily fitness tracking then the Versa is perfectly fine. Though both watches are classed as unisex, one could argue that the Versa is geared towards women and the Ionic, with it's 'masculine design' (as I frequently read), is considered geared towards men.

What about the sensor for measuring breathing that the ionic has but isn't activated yet? Does the versa have this sensor?

Do you mean the Sp02 sensor? If so then yes, according this page*, the Versa includes the sensor. Though when/if it will ever be activated is anyone's guess.
*Scroll down, expand "See all features" and click on the 'Design Specs' tab to see the list of sensors and components on the Versa.
