Widespread Versa Problems?

Hi,

I just wanted to see if anybody else is encountering problems with their Versa syncing to my Pixel 3XL. I have had a problem with my Versa for two weeks now - it stopped syncing all of a sudden and started losing time. I did a factory reset and now my phone will not detect it over Bluetooth at all. I have also tried it with my Windows PC and an iPhone 5S and I get the same problem - not detected. Fitbit have given me the usual troubleshooting steps, all of which I have tried over and over - I have spent hours on this. They are now telling me it is a widespread problem and that I need to wait for a firmware update to resolve the issue. They tell me something different on every email I send through to them and don't go through the history of the case to see what I have already tried. I'm getting so frustrated with it. I just wanted to see if this is in fact a widespread problem as they have said. Thank you!

That should say "syncing with their Pixel 3XL" and not mine. Although if you get yours to sync with mine that will be progress so let me know! 😄

I have a Pixel 3.  Same sync issues here.  Have tried everything, which is why I am now here.  Guess it is good to know I am not going crazy.

I’m having issues between versa and iPhone XR my watch suddenly lost time so when nothing else worked I did full factory reset now my watch is not detectable though it is on and fully charged. so I tried with my iPad and same issue so I now have a watch with no time or anything as its awaiting set up but is not detected

That's the exact problem I have. It's so frustrating. I now have a completely useless watch.

My Fitbit Versa has been doing the same thing with an iPhone 7 for a couple of weeks. Syncing issues, losing track of time, and then eventually not connecting to anything at all.

I have discovered a very temporary fix. As usual, try this at your own risk, I'm not responsible if you break your already broken Fitbit, etc. Having said that, I don't think this is too risky of a proposition as the thing is waterproof, but since I don't know for sure, I wouldn't recommend doing this too often.

Put the Versa in your freezer for around 15-20 minutes.

I'm serious. As long as the Versa remains cool you will maintain connection to your phone, and you will have a fully functional Fitbit device. Obviously, wearing the Versa will warm it up to broken faster(around 5 minutes), but if you leave it off you can definitely maintain connection through a firmware update, re adding the device to your phone, or things of that nature.

I was able to "revive" my firmware reset versa that literally couldn't do anything back to displaying the time wrong. So not exactly useless, but hardly useful.

I think the more worrying thing is this suggests that all of our Versa's are heat damaged or something along those lines.
