Windows 10 App can't sync with Versa 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I upgraded my Blaze to a Versa 2 that I received yesterday.

The Windows 10 app does not list a Versa 2 and will not sync with it.

I tried selecting a Versa but the app could not find it.

Is there someway to fix this?

The Versa 2 syncs OK with my Android phone.

There's no way round this I'm afraid. The Versa 2 will only sync with iOS or Android apps. I was surprised to see on the box when I got my Versa 2 that Windows was excluded from the required devices list but I understand that Windows will not support syncing for all new fitbits starting with the Versa 2

Well that is strange to hear especially when instructions for Music say you have to do that from the web app (which still doesn't work btw)

Just to confuse matters, music is different. That requires that you use a computer but it used the Fitbit Connect software rather than the Windows app.

The change is that the Windows 10 app will not sync with the Versa 2

SteveH,

The only reason the Versa 2 will not sync with Windows is that the Windows app asks you to choose your Fitbit device from a list  of devices when you connect to a new device. That list has not been updated yet to include the Versa 2. They can fix this. I don't know why it has not yet been done.

I hope you are correct but I fear it was a conscious decision by fitbit to not support Windows

Richard, I'm having similar issues. I hate to say it, but it's rather obvious that Fitbit just doesn't care.

I can really understand everyone's frustration.  What a waste of time and money purchasing a Versa 2.  Tech support was not a help in the least bit.  After three Fitbits that have failed in one manner or another, I am officially done with this company.  I will spend more to get a Garmin or Samsung that is a quality piece of equipment rather than putting up with this company anymore.

I have decided that for me, syncing with my PC is not a critical issue.

I am finding that the Versa 2 syncs with my smartphone much better than my Blaze did.

With the Blaze, after waking up I used to force a sync with FitBit and then edited the sleep record which always missed my "go to sleep start time".

With the Versa 2, it seems to sync via my phone before I sit down at my PC.

There is still an annoyance. The sleep score appears in my Android App but not in the Windows dashboard

That software you mentioned in another thread, as a way around the Windows App in order to sync for music transfer, is no longer available there. So now that option is closed.

Yet - on their site they show the three platforms to download. And amongst them, the "Windows 10 App" from the Google Store. I'm so confused!
