Hi, complete Fitbit newbie here, have only owned one for 2 days, lol.
The reason for purchase was to track progress on a 'couch-5K' i am trying to achieve. I'm not a fan of outdoors running (it's getting cold, lol), but i have a treadmill.
I obviously therefore tell my Versa 3 before i start that i am going to do a treadmill exercise, and i then tell it when i've finished. So far so good. My frustration comes with the information / summary that you then get from the Fitbit app (I'm on android, in case that makes a difference?)
The key information i want to see within the app, and be able to share / screenshot / refer back to is
1.) How far i ran
2.) How long i was running for to run that far
I.e. How long it is taking me to run 5K, and am i getting faster at it over time.
The app though wants to tell me all about Active Zone Minutes (I'll be honest - I don't really know what they are, but please don't explain; cos i don't care either, lol)
Surely there is some way of either adapting what parameters are recorded / tracked by the Versa, or how the app displays this info? And also to not just add that info on extra steps / distance travelled during that workout onto my daily fitness summary.
I used to have a cheap £30 Chinese fitness band that told me how far I'd ran, how long i was running for, and calories burnt. I'm struggling to believe that something that costs 5 times as much can't tell me that simply?
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind having extra info eg changes in heart-rate, average pace, calories burnt etc etc, but surely if you go for a run the key info you want to know afterwards is how far you ran, and how long you ran for?
Has anyone got any suggestions?
