Wrong calories burnt

Hello! I just bought a Fitbit Versa 3, never used yet, and yet my calories burnt as soon as I opened it were more than 700 for today, and more than 1000 or sometimes 2000 for previous days/months, when I didn't even have the Fitbit!

Is there a way to set calories burnt correctly?

Thanks!

Chiara

Don't worry, it's working as it should.

As well as tracking calories burned through activity your fitbit also tracks your BMR calories. These are the calories you burn just keeping your body alive (even when asleep). They are calculated from your profile settings for age, height, weight etc so you needn't be wearing your fitbit to get them. What you are seeing includes the total BMR calories burned since midnight.
