get back to face from exercise

When I am in the middle of an exercise activity how can I get back to the face?  I could not figure this out.  Thanks.

You can not return to the Clock Face until the exercise is ended. You can reference your Notifications with a long push of the left button but that is the only change you can make during a exercise.
