I want to be able to receive calls or messages on my Ftbit when it is convenient to me. Can I turn these notifications on and off at any time? I might not want someone else to read message on my wrist.

Hi, yes this is possible but very cumbersome. It means that you always have to go to your notifications to switch them on or off. Of course that's your choice, but it takes a lot of time doing that all the time you want.
