versa 2 always on not working correctly

I know this is probably been asked before but I couldnt find a solution even from the user manual. This is for my wifes versa 2, she said this is what her screen always looked like and it does look that until it goes into screen saver mode. I have modified the always on and even tried 60s with motion wake. to me its not that big of a deal but she swears it always was on and thats the way she likes it.

There is you standard face setting and the always on face setting. Check which face is set for the always on mode.

when it goes to always on, it looks exactly like the picture, except the stats are gone
