I've been trying out the new public preview of the Fitbit app, and I noticed that the HRV scores in the Public Preview are different than the HRV scores in the standard app.
It's not just the absolute numbers, but the trends are also sometimes different. For instance, the public preview shows my average HRV for the last fews days as decreasing, and the standard app shows my average HRV for the last few days as increasing.
Which one has the correct HRV score? It's confusing when the two apps contradict each other 🙂 What's even more confusing is that the readiness score (which is presumably based on resting heart rate, HRV, and sleep) is the same across the Public Preview and the standard app.

Yes, I've already provided feedback in the app 🙂 I just thought posting here might provide some visibility to other users who care about HRV.
And if other people also care about HRV, please file feedback in the app as well! More reports might convince the engineers to take a look at the issue.

I can confirm, and I also appreciate there being a public post about it here so I know I'm not alone.
My problem with it is more annoying, though. Not only does the HRV in the public preview version of the app and the standard Live version differ, but the public preview app has shown my HRV at 0 for the last two days. Meanwhile, the normal version of the app says my HRV was 89ms and 73ms respectively.
This obviously tanks my daily readiness to 0, drags down HRV averages, and spews tons of AI messages telling me to take it chill and rest — on a day I'd rather it hyped me up to go to the gym.
Annoyingly, even though the standard version of the app shows the correct HRV — because the public preview has already calculated my daily readiness, it's also shown as super low in the standard version. This is making me want to opt out of using the public preview at all — or at least make sure it's set to the standard version before I go to sleep so that I can avoid these buggy calculations/algorithms in the morning.
