Bring back the frequent tab. Bring back the recent tab. Bring back my custom items and allow me to create custom items again. Let me see estimated calories when modifying the serving size of an item being added.
Without these things nutrition tracking is beyond abysmal.
I tried switching to LoseIt or MyFitnessPal to do tracking and sync, but your app (even when it was fitbit) doesn't allow synchronizing food info into the app! If you're going to strip us of significant functionality, at least let us use an alternative.
This is a catastrophic update to nutrition tracking.

I managed to get some amount of synchronization working, but it would be best not to have to use and pay for a third party app. I used to be able to do everything via fitbit easily, and now with the new gutting of the nutrition system, I cannot.
Feature parity is essential.

Hopefully they can get a focus group of people actually trying to use that feature because it feels like it was made by a dev or ai whose use cases were incomplete.
It's tedious not to be able to see the calorie count once you've chosen the food because you don't know what the final count will be until after you 1. add it, back out, scroll down, look at the list of foods, click back into it, try to remember what the caloric value was (because you can't see it and can only adjust by "serving" or whatever), adjust, back out, look at what it did, make another guess.
Use case: As a user who logs foods that don't always have a barcode but knows what the caloric value should be, I sometimes choose something that's already in there like "Avocado toast", but on the old app would adjust the slider to get the calorie count in range. In the new app, I must see "Avocado toast" at 170 calories, select it, then while logging, guess that 1.1 "servings" will round out to what I know should be 230 calories (based on having logged the individual pieces before). I know you can do custom foods, but sometimes I just can't be bothered. Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
