Public Preview Latest Update - No Weekly Workout plans

I was beyond frustrated this morning to wake up to a new public preview update!  Gone are the weekly workout plans which I have been using for the last 3/4 months and have literally transformed how I exercise and have been helping me build towards walking the Camino in August.  It was great to look at the fitness tab and see what was planned for the week with the flexibility to adjust based on readiness scores and life happening around you.  Now it seems the fitness plans are weekly goals that give you the flexibility to maybe do something today, or maybe not.  For me the big win about the old version was I didn't have to think, I just followed the plan and that built consistency.  When I shared my frustrations in the coach app chat it suggested a plan for the week, but told me to screenshot it so I could access it later because it wouldn't be visible in the fitness tab.  Also, the chat said I should be able to click on the readiness tile and see workouts recommended for me depending on my readiness score.  I can see nothing! Just generic suggestions under the fitness tab.  In addition, today's insight said I was ready to tackle a strength workout today, but the coach chat said no, I should prioritise recovery!!!  The mixed messaging is confusing and frustrating.  If recovery should be prioritised then surely that should be very clear in the fitness tab and the today dashboard. And as for having to screenshot suggested plans, that's beyond ridiculous! Am I alone in thinking the previous version was better and more targeted?

Hi, all, go to the best answer on this thread  . Solved: Re: No new weekly plan - Fitbit Community  . The preview is a "Work in Progress", and changes are inevitable.

I hope this helps

Appreciate this will probably fall on deaf ears but the Preview is all about feedback, right?

I really liked the day-by-day workout planner. It got me exercising more than I've ever done before and building a schedule around my exercise rather than vice-versa.

So the feature really worked for me, and I'll miss it if it never comes back.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app? That's what got the plan to finally appear again for me after trying everything else.

Hi MariLu

Is there any update on this please?  There has been no improvement since our correspondence last week.  And to make matters worse, today the only personalised element left in the public preview has also now disappeared for me.  The personalised coach workouts have disappeared on the Fitness tab and I'm just left with guidance and suggested goals for the week.  Within the space of two weeks, the public preview has lost all the features that made it revolutionary, personalised and helpful for building fitness and consistency.  What ii offers now, in terms of the workout library, are not personalised so I might as well go back to Google and look for suggestions myself.  The small bit of generous spirit I had left to give this the benefit of the doubt because it is still work in progress, is slowly ebbing away and I'm not sure if I'll stay with FitBit after this.

I feel 100% the same! I felt like I was making wonderful progress in the gym with this and raved about it. Now, this next week shows no plan, my workouts disappeared, they're not syncing with my pixel watch 3, it's confusing to find ANYTHING now and there's no order or organization in the app. I'm so disheartened by this update and if it stays this way, I'll leave Fitbit premium and use another app. I'm STILL trying to figure out my workouts and everything else for this next week. It's so frustrating.

Hi, @CaseyCB79  and all, you'll be aware from the leaks in the media that the new Fitbit app is launching shortly (19th May)Google Health kills the Fitbit we knew, but maybe that’s not a bad thing  . The public preview app trialling the various features has been contributed to by many people over many months, and we can expect to see the benefits in the foreseeable future. I've noticed the Fitbit app functions change quite frequently in recent days. I find deleting the app, restarting my phone & reloading the app usually sorts things out. In my experience, the Google folk have more than their share of the "Smarts" and are very committed to delivering the best that AI can provide. This is clearly a big-budget operation we should and can expect good results. We can all help this process by reporting problems clearly via the Fitbit app. From the today tab>touch your icon in the top right corner>feedback>describe your issue>read the warning about personal information, note the sw version, make & model of your phone, the sw version of the fitbit app, which wearable device you are using & the sw version. The more information you provide, the better. Feedback is king & monitored constantly.

I hope this helps.
