Restore the ability to install 3rd party apps on the Versa 4 as was possible in previous versions of the watch.

This Versa 4 is pretty useless without the 3rd party Apps. Buyer beware!
Better basic functionality and the ability to use 3rd party apps is available in the cheaper Versa 2.
Big problem with the Versa 2 is that the band is cheap and doesn't stay closed and the batter dies in about 1.5 yrs.
Very Sorry I got the Fitbit!

I hope we are getting some movement. The more people that can say something, the better chance we can get this fixed.

Why is my smart watch not smart??? My Blaze was better than the sense 2. Why did I upgrade?

I'm thinking it would be easier to just do the right thing and enable all the features that everyone expected to be on the Sense 2 that were on the Sense 1. This shuffling requests around to consolidate what people keep asking for seems a waste of time.

@YojanaFitbit so you're gonna route people here but just ignore all the other questions directed at you?

Why should you even have to think to Google, "Versa 4 install 3rd party apps"

Wear OS apps?

any apps?

After using an Apple Watch for a while I decided I wanted the customisability of my old versa watch back, so was looking to buy  the versa 4.

I saw a comment on Amazon reviews about no 3rd party faces or apps and thought it was a joke, but googled anyway…  guess it’s true, I’m not  going back to Fitbit if this is the direction its going in. Madness.

  • Yes, stay away from Sense 2 and Versa 4. I think Google is trying to kill off FitBit. If they were serious about keeping it going they would not downgraded all the features bit kept the high price.

On my old versa 2, I could download 3rd party apps, but not on my versa 4

THIS IS RIDICULOUS. How is it possible this is a newer version of their line and they removed a feature as key as 3rd party apps??? And zero USEFUL replies from the company. If this is about killing off fitbit, congrats Google I won't be purchasing aaanny of your future products if this is how you do business. I only hope others follow suit. Ps. I would LOVE to hear the conversation where the higher ups thought this would be a good idea. Idiots.

I took mine back.  I will rebuy if they make it a true smart watch instead of a fitness tracker.  Glad i kept my old one.

I'm sending mine back.  I just got it today after saving and finally deciding on the Versa 4. I was a loyal Fitbit user.  I'm going to have to research and get something different. Thanks, a lot Google you have ruined my love of Fitbit.

@YojanaFitbit  - I think if this was progressed it would close a number of features requests. Clock Faces App, Music App, Strava just to name 3!

Is it possible to update this call please to what Fitbit are planning on doing and if this is going to be a possibility.

Thank you

Today morning, I bought a fit bit 4 worth $245, in Nairobi, assuming it was an upgrade of Versa 3 (which I really enjoyed using). Upon setting up the gadget, deezer, agenda, spo2 tracker, Infinity Fit, world clock - all missing. I chat up an agent called Johana, who tells me they cant help since I didn't buy the gadget directly from Fit bit. "Sorry for the delay ,I was talking to my supervisor, he tells me that since you did not buy the fitbit with us you should go to the retailer" The agent cannot accept it unsealed. Fit bit has no customer care shops in Nairobi or anywhere near, and the agent couldn't comment if they were going to fix this via an upgrade or anything like that. So basically, I just been ripped off!

Well said.

At least they give you 6 free months of Fitbit Premium (doesn't add much value tbh). Which basically means in 6 months the watch is even more worthless, because nobody is going to pay the premium for something that should be part of the service in the first place, like Garmin and others do. I wonder what idiot would pay for that.

Not me. I have a calendar reminder set for a few days before to remind me to cancel. Even if the watch did have all the things that it should have had enabled turned on I wouldn't pay for Premium. $10 a month is a joke for what it provides.

@YojanaFitbit any feedback? I'm on the fence to return my Versa 4 unless a positive update is shared.

They should make third-party app possible on the Fitbit versa 4 and the Fitbit sense 2 smart watches!!!

Is it time to buy Versa3?

I feel like selling my versa 4 for the music feature.

Any downgrade discount from fitbit?

I returned my Sense 2 and got a Garmin Venu 2. Within a couple of months I
taught myself how to use the Garmin SDK and programmed my own watch face
and a few apps. After 8 years as a customer I’m done with Fitbit.
