@fitDanboy I see what you did there with your pun. I just went golfing this past weekend and my buddy had this golf app that was super helpful. It told the user the Par, where the pin was, the distance from your ball to the hole, etc.
It's unfortunate that the Sense 2 doesn't have that (or any 3rd party apps). 😕 It's a disappointment to say the least.
I was talking to customer service on the phone yesterday and I was assured "don't worry, we are working on it" regarding the 3rd party apps etc... "but it will take time" But honestly, I don't believe a word out of this company's mouth anymore. It's been 10 months!!! How much longer do they expect us to wait?
Keep hope alive. The more users who indicate their dissatisfaction, the better the chance that Fitbit sees the error of their ways and issues an update allowing customer needed Apps.

I purchased the versa 4 this year. I previously had the versa 2. I love being able to take calls and texts. However, I was disappointed at the lack of 3rd party apps like Spotify and medical apps. I would like as much versatility as the older models. This is as basic as it gets. Sorely disappointed.
Totally agree. Fitbit is going to lose long time loyal customers. Much easier to keep a current customer than gain a new one. Please issue that update to allow 3rd Party Apps.
I think that the non-integration of third-party apps is a castrazio without much sense. Furthermore, if this integration were made, Fitbit would certainly have more customers, and perhaps recover some customers lost along the way because they rightly got angry about this lack. Not to mention that it is also convenient for the Fitbit developers themselves, because it will no longer be necessary to make specific applications because, precisely, being integrated third-party apps, those applications already exist. We have exceeded 2000 likes and 20 pages of comments, I imagine that by now some mods have noticed this topic.
@YojanaFitbit please give us some insiders! I have a versa 4 and I need 3rd party app support! there are over 24 pages of complaints, and over 1000 likes! when is this feature coming?! absolutely unacceptable.
Absolutely must allow 3rd party apps or will lose long time loyal users for life. Issue an Update and keep users. Seems like the right decision to issue the Update
Weeks/months ago, moderators regularly replied on this post with canned comments that they were listening… but it has been a very long time since that happened. Fairly certain that is another sign Google is purposefully killing off the Fitbit brand as a smart device. They know… we’re just screaming into the void.
Time will tell. There is often when huge entities by other smaller but successful entities. They buy it for specific reasons, I.e. they want to be in a certain growth business -perhaps wearables with a recurring revenue stream, however later discover it is not really what they thought it was and let it “go” or sometimes sell it back to original owners or a “group” of former execs who have plenty of bread and “know the business”. Irregardless all we want is for them to issue Update allowing 3rd party apps.
I am really shocked that there has been no real communication. They can send something to the FitBit app saying that they have reviewed the many requests for 3rd party apps and are not going to do it for whatever reason Or they can give us a date that they ill be reviewing or updating. This will probably be my last Fitbit purchase if 3rd party apps are not available. I am currently researching other devices and platforms to see what fits the bill. When I find something I will just toss this Versa and never look back. I hope change comes before I have to make that decision. I truly like the device, app and ease of use, but it's like buying a Ferrari only to find out that it has a Honda Civic engine. It looks nice and runs fine, but it does not accomplish what it was purchased for!
Reasonable request to ask for more than “read” or “reviewed”. Obviously no one is happy that they are receiving LESS in new devices. Just sent out a msgs: 1) we are working on and will return to 3rd party apps OR 2) we will not be returning to 3rd party apps, take your business elsewhere-we just don’t care.
I bought the Sense 2 a few days ago since my Sense 1 stopped working, big surprise the apps I had don't work on the new device, it's definitely a step behind Google, what to do???, the sense 1 was a perfect machine and somehow they took it down, are they going to finish Fitbit? Was that the intention to buy from Google? very disappointed.
Suggest post a request to have Fitbit issue and “Update” that allows 3 rd Party apps. Many have done so, they will lose users if don’t meet customer needs. In the mean time I was able to find a Sense(1) online brand new.
@James Park, @ERIC Fredman and all of the Fitbit Developer. Please can you incorporate 3rd party app or your going to lose even more customers. I spent good money on this watch, the website said it was a "smartwatch", but no, that's false. This is an advanced activity tracker that's overpriced. Please just open up 3rd party apps or make new apps. Maybe you can make a flashlight app, Calculator, Agenda App etc.
@MoDaBro you left out volume control which should be a basic functionality of any new smartwatch.
It's kind of baffling that they refuse to listen to their customer base because we're the ones who have or will ultimately decide to buy their products (or not).
Frankly, they've already lost me as a customer. I've had 3 fitbits, and they have all bricked. All this is just further convincing me not to buy another. I'm not interested in another crappy watch. I've got strava to record my exercise, and I don't need some dumb number to tell me how I slept. That's pretty clear to me when I wake up.
Hi @Ktm87, we wanted to let you know that the ideas you recently posted already exist on the Product Feedback Board. You can see them here where you can add your vote to those existing product feedback:
Please try to make sure you only post one idea per product feedback, so we can keep the board organized, easily searchable and see which idea other members are voting for. Thanks for participating in Product Feedback.
Disappointed that the Versa 4 does not support connection to spotify. I purposely bought the watch to stop me having to carry about my mobile to count steps and naively presumed that based on the abilities of other Fitbit products that I would at least be able to control Spotify from the watch itself.
Go to Bulletin and suggest the issue an update to allow these 3rd party apps, give us at least what we had. Will lose users for life if don’t issue update.
