Ability to customize the stats/apps on Inspire series

There are several functions that I do not need or want and there is currently no way to turn them off. I would normally just ignore them but my FitBit has this annoying habit of just randomly switching to something it thinks I want, when I have done nothing. It's as bad as driving a car and when you stop at a light, the car decides you want to park so it opens the door for you. I want to control my screen, what it shows, and when it shows it. Currently I can do none of this.

I upgraded from the Alta HR to the Inspire HR recently, and I want to be able to customize the Inspire display like we could on the Alta. There are only a few of the stats that I track and I find most of the options unnecessary in my life. I also want to be able to get a text message notification and have it not display the message on the screen.

Hi @atomicpikachu thanks for sharing your idea. I think it would be a great addition to Fitbit Inspire. Keep sharing your suggestion.

Really disappointed to learn the screen is not customizable, and that older versions had this feature.  I feel like the Inspire is a step back without this option.  Please add!

I was asked for an example other than a car. Imagine if you walked past your computer in the middle of the night and the bright screen turned on.

Agreed. This should be a staple feature on all Fitbit devices. I have the same issue with my Inspire HR device. I would like to be able to customise what I see in terms of stats and data on my device based on what I have displayed on my dashboard on the Fitbit application. I have no interest in seeing my weight and water intake if I don’t want to. Please make this a change as the whole idea is that is should be tailored to the individual wearer. Would it be possible to make a device update so that this would be possible?

I have interest in three data, and the others are in the way. I'm definitely for this.

I wholeheartedly agree! There's no reason why my Inspire HR display shouldn't directly sync with the activated dashboard tiles within the the Fitbit app. This seems like a no brainer from a development standpoint.

Dear Fitbit - please consider making this development change!

Completely agree. I just got the Inspire HR device and this is the only feature that is very annoying. I thought that by adjusting and selecting the dashboard tiles of interest to me on the Fitbit application (bpm, sleep, etc) they would be mirrored on my device accordingly. However, they do not and am forced to see the water intake data (which I don’t use) and my weight (which Id prefer to remain private). Sadly, this isn’t an option. It would be great if they created a software update to fix this issue.

I've just replaced my Alta with an Inspire and am astounded that I can't customise what I see on the watch face.  Not having customisation is a big backward step!  I like to see the time, my steps, distance, battery life and notifications - the rest is just a nuisance.

Please fix this!

Have any ideas here actually been implemented?

I just did an upgrade and I was so excited thinking that this would be changed.  Nope.  Not sure what the update did, but fixing what you can view on your device was not one of them.

Seriously, Fitbit.  Fix this problem.  I thought I was upgrading from Alta to Inspire and I am very disappointed.

I agree! At least being able to customize which goals or stats to scroll through is a serious design flaw and makes this wearable tech much less user friendly. Please send update soon!

This needs to be updated ASAP! I would like to be able to customize what I see in the inspire hr. This is very frustrating.

I agree.  Some of this is very personal information, and if the screen accidentally gets swiped, I don’t want it visible to others.  It should be customizable to what our goals are

I would like to be able to fully poweroff my Fitbit Inspire HR.

I went to the movie theater today and I couldn't turn off my Inspire HR. I turned off screen wake. But it still lit up. I had to remove my watch.

The Fitbit also has a lot of tracking features. No power off button feels like I'm wearing a tracker on myself. It feel almost like I bought a product that invades my privacy.

Thank you for reading!

Received the Inspire HR as a gift to replace my Alta HR today. I have to say that taking away the ability to customise the display seems to be going against one of the things that makes fitbits user friendly.  I’m my opinion, that and the fact that the charger lead is so small and magnetic making it insecure whilst charging, are the worst ideas Fitbit have had!

Hi @ColdPegasus nice suggestion. It'd be really handy to have that option on Fitbit Inspire family. Let’s see what others think.

Hi @ColdPegasus! Great suggestion, thanks for sharing. I've moved it into a similar request. Hopefully we will have support from other users since more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains.

This! Please make is so we can either enable/disable what shows up or change the order (or both!) Other than this serious flaw, I'm loving the Inspire HR as a replacement for my Alta HR.

I would also really like to customize the icons available to scroll through on the wristwatch. I don't really care if everything shows up on the app, but I would prefer to remove the water and weight icons from the watch. Also it would be sufficient to be able to simply change the order of the icons. For example, to customize so that heart rate is the first icon upon scrolling down, rather than steps. Again, I would like to use Reminders to Move, but would prefer it to show up in a different order on the wristwatch.

The lack of customizability of the menu icons that show up on the watch is astounding for a wearable tech product introduced in 2019! At least let us change the order of the icons! Please make this your next update priority!

It seems like Fitbit put a lot of thought into the aesthetic design of the Inspire series, and I love that! This must be paired with the functionality and ability to personalize the device. I would seriously be in love with the Inspire HR with this one change of wrist watch menu order customization.

Please update this!! I really do not need to see my weight, calories, water intake or menstrual cycle. Please make it so that I can remove these!

Even no-name fitness trackers for under 25$ allow for this feature... Please, please consider this as priority for the next update !! It is a no-dealer for me and I ca see myself returning the Inspire only because of this. 😞
