now its set up so that when i scroll right I get notifications and when i scroll left I get EDA scan, there should be the possibility to change the order in which they show up.
Moderator Edit: Clarified subject and updated label
Absolutely idiotic positioning of notifications and payment apps! On charge 4 it was possible to access all vitals without scrolling through these and now one has to constantly stumble on these to access settings and exercise!
There should be an option to rearrange or uninstall them.
Upgraded from charge 4 to charge 5 and dang C4 is way better in term of functionality.
Fitbit never responds to anything, they couldn't care less and haven't been a single update the eight months I've owned my fitbit. This company had so much potential - but I'm of course never going to buy from them again.
yes!! I lose so much time in my exercise class trying to scroll to the right option now, I dont need ECG, EDA scan, timers, alarms before I get to exercise
The goal of "FitBit" is to get you to move which is so hard to do when you're trying to swipe through the apps to get to the exercise section of your FitBit device. It terribly frustrating to be standing there ready to run and you're trying to get out of the apps you must have just accidentally clicked on, even though you were trying to swipe.
"Exercise" should be the first option when swiping right- always.
Would like to be able to edit/rearrange the apps that you swipe to use - I seldom want to use ecg, eda, timers, or alarms. But notifications and alarms - those I use frequently. Would be nice if one was 1 swipe left and the other was 1 swipe right. Would be better if people could decide for themselves. Btw, I have the Charge 5
Hi @AllOfUsNewbie, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about being able to rearrange the apps on your Charge 5 with us. I noticed a similar idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestion board, so I’ve moved your post here. Please support this idea by adding your vote, this helps our developers to keep tracking its popularity and demand over time.
Yes, please add this function. Since you’ve had it on other Fitbits, it should be a standard feature of every Fitbit. Putting the apps in the order I’d like would save a lot of time. I haven’t tried other brands, but this is making me curious if they offer this basic functionality and customizability.
I just bought my charge 5 after I lost my charge 4 in the woods. I am shocked to find this 2 year old thread with an issue that wouldn't be that difficult to update. I use this as a fitness tracker and turn off all notifications. That is a bummer to have to have the extra swipe to get to what the core of the product actually is. Fitbit, can you please update the software to allow for customization!
Yes! I just got the Charge 5. Why is notifications the first thing I swipe to and not exercise? No way to reorder or move. Frustrating! This is a fitness tracker, not my phone/computer.
They don't care. I post on Facebook every time their ad pops up. Just get the same old "we care about you" but nothing changes. This has been an issue for two years without any answer.
Hey @LizzyFitbit, When can we expect anything to happen in this regard? As many have mentioned before, this is increadibly frustrating not to be able to customize my own display and having notifications in a fitness tracker is also absurd. Could you provide us at least with the priority of this ticket in development?
I only wear one that I was provided free for the Wear Study. I can't imagine paying for it and can't wait until I feel like I can ditch it. Apple Watches are more expensive but they're WAY more customizable and user friendly!
I post just to make sure this post goes back up. Anyone else reading this, please do the same because apparently i needed to accept some very vague, very anti user, that basically says i agree fitbit can ignore any suggestions because they don't agree ("unsolicited suggestion"). So that means they will NEVER add this feature unless thousands of user vote this feature.
So, make sure you all share this post because apparently it doesn't matter what improvement user want to see for fitbit unless a mass amount of user vote
I'm only wearing my because it was given to me for free as part of the Wear Study. Can't wait to ditch it. Cannot believe the lack of customization, the clunky operation, and did I mention the stench??? Fix it!
As i wrote, before we could post, we needed to accept that fitbit is not obligated to bother despite taking payment via premium members and more. They will only bother when they are enough people who vote since that looks as a risk of losing to many customers if they don't add said feature. Otherwise? Nope, this whole forum is full of CS trying thir best yet the company reserve thir right to no have any pride, obligation towards users, and 0 care about our opinions, suggest and difficulties caused by the software.
Also, i do suggest you keep the device, because that's the best way to show to others just how much difference there is between what they claim and reality. Ensure you show to as many peoples as posibil
If you keep your Fitbit device 99% of the one's that just sees it on your armwrist without hearing how lousy a watch it is and how much they ignore they users will think that you endorse them.
The best thing you can do is buy another brand (my guess is that most companies are better than Fitbit) and then endorse that brand instead. Fitbit is a lost cause.
Fun story: My Fitbit stopped working after around half an year. Told it in the store I bought it in and they replied: Yeah, we know...! The sad part about that story is that the level of support in that answer is actually better than the dead silence Fitbit has in these groups.
andreashansen sorry about the confusion. I meant as in "keeping to show if someone doubts the real life quality" and Not as "keeping using it"
Also, what you said does work. When people see the fitbit they get curios, thought i have sad news for them... This forum is also a goldmine, if anyone assumes, such issues are "a rare case"
This is terrible... we can't even get a moderator to comment. Just let us know that you have no intention of ever adding this feature and we can all move on with our lives and on to the next brand.
Charge 5 should allow you to reorder the apps when you swipe up/down and left/right. This way you can put your most used apps first reducing the number of swipes and time it takes to get where you want. There is a similar feature already under Exercise to rearrange the activities, this should also be the case for the apps.
