Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

I really do not like the new interface. It's much harder to see everything and I can't customize the order of the stats. The previous look was much nicer and easier to read and see everything. I also really liked the colors.

I agree, it's hard to understand how ANYONE could see this has an improvement,

What does it say about a company that updates and app to look pathetically bad?

Don’t think they will put it back to how it was. But here’s hoping

I like the newer version of Fitbit. Instead of reverting I think they should give options. Some changes do make little sense from a usability standpoint...

As stated in the title. I'm baffled as to why you removed these. I'd understand if it was to improve UX, but you just made an aesthetic overhaul to keep up with a trend, and removed all life out of it

I agree. This new app is so unappealing!
It is harder to find what I want; it is unattractive, very plain.
it does not celebrate goals. Information is not as clear and accessible.  Please allow options for users. Allow us to choose the new or the old one.
I literally might just stop using my Fitbit.

I completely agree with all of this!! I have been a user since 2015 and have never been this disappointed with an update.

I was shocked when I updated my app this morning and saw that I no longer had the views I use daily and Nymdok did a great job of staying the exact reasons why this is both  a bad idea as well as how it undermines the habits people create around their fitness.

This update needs to be reversed and the development team needs to be re-educated on what the needs of its fitness community are and how to maintain client loyalty.

This latest app update is just simply awful, like a toddler grabbed his one favorite magic marker to color the whole thing. The new app design lacks creativity, inspiration, imagination and good user function and to bury the battery indicator behind the App/phone icon is ridiculous.

@Mclintock please let us know which Garmin device you chose, and what you think.  I'm sure you're not the only one looking into other fitness trackers or smartphones after this disastrous update (with no comment from Fitbit/Google, assuming they're even reading these comments).

I gave my opinion on their Facebook page and was told the best place to "make my voice heard" was these forums. They don't seem to have a direct customer service email, but I hope they're paying attention to this feedback

Absolutely agree! The update is ugly and I avoid going to look at it. Unimpressed uninspired and unhappy.

Really hate the new updated dashboard, it’s not easy to see old stats/trends and you can’t edit the home screen like you used to be able to. Is there a way to switch back?

Hate new dashboard. Anyway to go back to old one?

The app update is terrible. Who thought that monochromatic colors would be a good thing? Can’t see anything; it all blends together in a big, bland blob. The font size appears small, again can’t see anything. You’re forced to select metrics in a bundle. I liked when you individually selected metrics you wanted based on preference. What the literal heck Fitbit? No viewable battery percentage? This update is a flop.

Bring back the colors and while you’re at it add a movement tracker for those of us who want to stay regular. Kthxbye.

I hate this new cell app that railroaded me unexpectedly today. Not only am I stuck with something that is ugly, oversized and difficult to access/use quickly when exercising, but it literally took me 1 1/2 to set up something that I was already using and liked. This is NOT an improvement but I yelled a lot.

I too hate the new dashboard. Old one was concise and showed everything very compactly - with color. Now there is so much white space it is boring, dull and hurts the eyes. I am leaving on a major trip in 4 days and was looking forward to looking at my metrics while gone. Now it will be, ehh, why bother. No color equals no inventive. Humans are visual by nature. Put things back the way it was! I have an older FitBit and was thinking of buying a more current offering but after this, I am leaning more to another product. Why change a good thing? I am really disappointed in those who decided less was more.

I agree. I don't like the new format either. It was so easy to see everything, concisely and at a glance, with the old one.  Everything I wanted to know was there.  In a few seconds, I could check it and was done.

The new dashboard is crowded and cluttered. My eyes don't like it. Another thing that's upsetting is that they removed the sleep stats from the free app. I don't need all the extras but did like to see my sleep summary.  Very disappointed in that.

Although my older FitBit suits my purposes, I was considering upgrading. I may now look for a different brand as I'm really upset that they removed features that once were free. If it isn't broken don't change it. Please bring back the old format.

Unfortunately have to agree with the negative comments. This must be the most underwhelming "upgrade" ever produced by a company. I loved my fitbit and app up to this point but if Fitbit aren't invested in what their customers want then I'm afraid it's probably time to move. Please bring back the old interface. @Mclintock literally nailed it - more/not less, bring back the colour, be more inspiring. Given that your whole purpose is supposed to be to get people to put in some effort maybe you could give it a go yourselves!

This is my issue with the all singing out of tune new App update

Front Page gives false mileage 3.8miles but drill down and you get the correct mileage 2.37 miles

Can anyone at Fitbit monitoring these pages please explain!
