Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

I’m disappointed in the loss/removal of the streak tracker. Let’s bring that back!

The new dashboard info is incomplete and not easy to use. I liked the last format and have used it every day . It was easy to evaluate and was simple to use for an engineering or scientific mind. I would like it restored if possible.

Agreed - battery percentage is essential for regular use and planning charge days. I also need it to confirm it is still connected and charging when I set my Inspre down, and to know when charging is complete.

I too hate the dashboard. Somehow it is showing heart rate when I want steps. I have tried to change it and just looks more cluttered.

I updated my FitBit app on iOS 2 days ago.  My current version is 4.00.

NOT A FAN of the changes.

Agree with everyone here. The new app is awful and absolutely NOT an improvement on the previous one, for all the reasons mentioned already. It feels like we went back to the turn of the century…when user-friendly interfaces were not a priority.  Please bring the old one back.

Stopping by to say that I also hate the new dashboard. I had the usual one until only a few minutes ago when I went to sync the app to my watch. Maybe I'm just picky, but I hate the way the version that focuses on "get more active" has Steps as the largest one up top when it used to be zone minutes. I see they've taken away the ability to change around the position of the metrics. Besides that, it's just ugly and drab.

Just switched to new dashboard. I’m not liking it at all. Please can I revert back to old one? Don’t hold me hostage!

This new screen totally sucks. I hate it.

I hate it too.  I want to go back to the previous dashboard.  This one is terrible and hard to find the stats.

I want the old app back. This one is cold and boring and all the information I care about is no longer there! To self log an activity is pointless, it gives you no info like before. All you know is you mowed the lawn for 70 minutes.  Where are the zones at? That's just one example but I could ask how to find a ton more. Definitely canceling premium and finding another brand. I see many hate it but guarantee Fitbit/Google won't change it back. Unfortunate.

I don't understand why something that was compressed and easy to quick view was made into this expanded rolldown screen.  Plus they got rid of all prior day review features in STEPS, MILES, CALS and ZONE.  If you click on them, you no longer see prior days.

I can't find a good place to comment on the user experience of the new app.

Why all the dull green?  What happened to color?

Just checkmarks when you meet daily goals?  There's no longer any fireworks when you hit the big daily goals.  What a bummer!

The badges also look blah.  Fitbit removed a lot of the motivational fun.  And it's called an improvement.  You guys need to rethink the user experience.

I agree - it’s awful! Very cold, very boring and not intuitive at all.

Agree with all the key feedback I've read in this thread. As someone who has worked in the I.T. space for many years, it never fails to surprise - and irritate - how many updates are done to interfaces when they are not needed, or clearly not done with much feedback (or testing) from the user base before they are pushed live.

Just awful. The loss of the ability to group with friends and set our own challenges etc when Google took over was bad enough. This latest is enough to convince me the next tracker I buy won't be a Fitbit.

Do not like the display of new app. I find it confusing and not intuitive

This is a massive disappointment.
The new interface is bland, difficult to read at a glance, and has zero appeal.  I am speechless that this has been approved. Please introduce the option to use the previous version.  This is uninspiring and typical of the “modern” mindset of updating something for the sake of it.

This is my issue with the all singing out of tune new App update

Front Page gives false mileage 14.72 miles but drill down and you get the correct mileage 9.14 miles

Can anyone at Fitbit monitoring these pages please explain! 2nd REQUEST

My app just change however no battery life symbol. Anyone got any ideas where it is or how to find out how much battery I have left?

I agree.  The new fit app Is terrible. If there is a way we can get the old one back,  make it happen fitbit.

OMG. This new look is horrendous. I used the chat feature to ask if I could revert to prior look. The chat - knowing it was an automated bot - responded with how to change the watch clock face. What a joke. I clarified to say not the watch but the app and the response was "we don't have any option to wait for the new update of the app". Was any user feedback gathered on this change? I can't see why anyone would like this look, in addition to the less data and features as mentioned above.

You sure are right. It’s a terrible look in the app. A child could have made this mess or did better.

I want to minimize scrolling to view and enter data into the app. The new app spreads out the information, minimizing what can be seen on the screen. Therefore requiring more scrolling to get anything done. The old app showed ~5 metrics and my food on the Home Screen without scrolling down. A quick swipe down on the old app revealed everything.

Why is the Fitbit app looking bad why did they change it?
