Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

Extremely disappointed with latest update. Wish we could revert to prior version.  Really miss being able to select order of information.

I have added an updated review in the Apple App Store and would suggest that is the best course to follow  unfortunately Fitbit don’t seem to thunk the overwhelmingly negative feedback is an issue. I guess maybe they’ll pay attention with all the users cancelling premium and shifting to other devices 🤷‍:female_sign:

As an "IT guy" who does some CX, UX, and product crossover work, I have to say that this new app is a big F in my book.

Please give the option to revert back to the prior interface, and/or give some more customization options. Allow open sourcing of app skins. Anything but this non-improvement

just posted same thing, I guess we’ll see if mine is removed as well. It’s
a bad move as users will just go to other places which are more public to
complain

Agreed! Trustpilot isn't bad either!

Well said! It is horrible!

I HATE this update.  Not only does it look bad as many have mentioned, but there’s a loss of functionality.  Where is the battery status? I track my weekly step, mile, and active minute totals, visible when you click on those stats, but now they are gone. I don’t want a daily average, I want total steps, like before.  I have been a long time Fitbit fan (my hand-entered daily weight data goes back to 2015!), but I will be looking for a new fitness tracker going forward.  I understand that I am a “free” user (I have still purchased multiple devices over the years), so show me some ads or implement a small monthly fee, but this updated UI is garbage.

I absolutely agree with you!

I have been a loyal Fitbit user since December, 2011, and my pink-rimmed Ultra. Your new interface is so awful! It is dull, colorless, cluttered and completely unmotivating. Clearly, your focus group is wrong. Tomorrow, for the first time in more than a decade, I will not have my FitBit on. My husband's been urging me to switch to Apple. He wins.

I'm with you! This update is HORRIBLE!! I've been a Fitbit user since 2015...might be time for me to look elsewhere

I could not agree more with Nymdok and the others. Everything about the new interface is awful. Way less user friendly nor as aesthetically pleasing as it used to be. I hope you’ll use this feedback to go back to the old or at least update the new to give us what we want! Otherwise I won’t be replacing my Fitbit when the time comes.

Update is not an improvement. Experience using Fitbit is not as gratifying. Drab visuals. Every time I look I feel let down. Missing previous!!!!!

I don't wear my Charge 4 on my wrist. I keep it in my pocket because I don't need to wear multiple watches. I would rely on the app to be able to quickly check my progress. However, with the new app, that's no longer possible in real time. I now need to sync the unit if I want to see my progress. So much for hands-free.

I am with you! The new app is uninspiring and all in all a backward step. I am looking at a Garmin right now. I am rather unimpressed with Fitbit as I only recently upgraded both my and my wife's Fitbits to the Charge 5. It seems I wasted some money!

41 pages of people hating the updated app like it's New Coke and yet Fitbit won't respond or acknowledge how much people hate it, or let us revert back to the old version. Just for that reason alone I'll never buy anything from Fitbit again.

I have to agree with you. What happened to "the customer is always right"?

Disappointed there is no longer the step steak and active zone minutes displayed in color on dashboard. Also no easy way to see how many steps I got in different weeks.

@LokeAa - Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! The downgrading instructions
were surprisingly easy. Just got to remember to go in and manually update
my apps on a regular basis...

I agree with Nymdok above.  I absolutely hate the new display.  Please change it back.

Agree with all of the previous comments. The "new" app is a major step backwards. Less info, terrible monochromatic color usage, etc. I'm in the market for an upgrade as my current device's battery life is poor (typical as it just passed the two year mark). Fitbit has lost a customer. I will be looking elsewhere.

I absolutely despise this new interface.

In terms of exercise - which is why I bought a fitbit I can no longer see what my maximum heart rate was. Unless I write it down from looking at the watch which is not how I keep my stats.  I'd never liked your switch to zone minutes but was able to deal with it. I preferred active minutes. But I'm livid that you replaced my hard-earned heart rate information  With these categories and not sharing my maximum heart rate with me.  All fitness watches is show this information and you are literally forcing us serious athletes to switch if you won't let us have this data.

In addition, Instead of having the battery information on the front page it takes 2 steps to get to it and then one my watch is saying 86% it still says battery full.  I have no idea if it's broken or it has to hit a certain point to show a different message but I wanna know what percentage my battery is.

Third I like having 5 tiles in the at a glance as I used all the information.  It's very frustrating to have what I could see quickly limited and then when I go into details you will no longer share all the details with me that are the reason that I purchase this device.

In addition it no longer syncs with my smart scale.  This means I need to add in my weight by hand. are you trying to force us all to buy your smart scale?

It's boring looking and yes I agree with the others who said I like it when I reach my goal that fireworks go off.  It made me feel good and motivated me to reach the goal.

I'm sure I will find a lot more reasons I don't like this interface.  I agree with everyone saying you should give us the option to go back to the old layout. However I know you won't do that so at least give us our data back like the exact battery percentage are watches at and what are maximum heart rate is.
