Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

Exercise activity days  are blank after you tap on the days, the graph has blank days, the only way to get the data back is to scroll up through your past days & then the graph updates. When I first looked at it after training for 22 hours last week, said only 7 hours completed. Fitbit are completely useless!!!

I miss the layout, witch was more appealing. I miss max HR in training sessions, and total steps of the week. Plus you have to give us the batter percentage back!

I would dream of the original Fitbit developers to create a new fitness and health tracker. Anybody else wants to take over this fantastic product concept?
all others options Garmin, Apple others seem to be less good than what the original Fitbit offered both in term of comprehensive scope and price.

I don't mind the colour scheme change, but I am pretty puzzled as to why the heart rate zones for light/moderate/cardio have changed with the app update.

I had gotten pretty good at getting my heart to the right level depending on which zone I wanted to be in, but now they no longer match up. Seems like a very weird change to implement.

I'll also add my "+1" to battery percentage being put back as it was. "Low" doesn't help me. I know I can check on my actual Fitbit for specific battery percentage, but why change it after YEARS of it being right there in app?

Nymdok has provided you with a spot on analysis.

I * really * dislike the new interface.

The same Pilates class that had 28 zone minutes last week had 1 zone minute this week. The app is borked 😡

I want old app back!
I want to see battery % in the app, not to be told that battery is low, middle or high.

It's good to see that user responses are having an effect on the rating in the app store.

If you log into your account on a pc, you can export all your data from Fitbit over the years. I found the article by searching how to transfer my data to my *new competitor device*. I’m in the middle of doing the transfer now so I’m not sure how well it works or if at all but I was thrilled to know it will not all be lost.

The new app is terrible.  There is less information provided. In the old app I could easily see my heart rate trend for my workout.  Now the info isn't there.  As well the old app gave me a max heart rate for the workout.  The new app is significantly less useful.

Wonderful news that we can export our data! Thank you for sharing.

I completely agree with this. I am colorblind and can no longer tell the difference in heart rate zones at all!

I agree with all of these people.  The new app is deplorable.  There was nothing wrong with the old app and I hate when things change for change sake.  It should only change if it needs to.

Google owns FitBit, Google will attempt to move the FitBit Community to
their products.

A company can accomplish this by degrading the product that was purchased
and hope that the customer base will move to the products the Parent
Company offers. I am sure Google has had a marketing study done to review
how much of the customer base would move to their products and how many
would leave to other competitors product offerings.

Google has rolled the dice by degrading the FitBit App and is hopefully it
does not lose too much of the market.

Not everyone wants to have large watches with all the bells & whistles. I
love the sleek look of FitBit trackers, which to date has maintained my
physical activity & metrics: Cardio Fitness, Steps, Distance. Google
eliminated my Step Streak notifications, which now stands at 588 days.

The new interface is completely confusing and not user friendly. There is far less information to get and that information is harder to find. I am starting a new thread with the other 4 that I saw so hopefully you really understand we don't like this new interface.

The new fitbit update is disappointing. The background is too plain and changing around all of the metrics isn't what we want. My main issue is it no longer includes all the metrics like heart rate, zone minutes, distance, everything, when I auto-sync my peloton rides to the fitbit app. That was one of the best parts. At a minimum, please add that.

The new app is so bad I will be dropping premium and possibly looking at compactors for a different devise. Thanks for ruining something that wasn't broke.

I'm with you - very unhappy to lose the battery percentage!!  I chatted with Fitbit, and they said it was no longer available.  UGH!

Very dissapoited with latest app update. I don't need location on except very rairly but never when I'm not using the app. I don't use the weather app and don't track any exercise routes etc. It worked fine on when using the app so the purpose of tracking me is at the very least dubious and an invasion of my privacy.

The new App makes me want to cancel my Premium subscription and not reinvest in a Fitbit again. I think this is the first time in my life I have left a negative review and I am almost 40. The sleep function no longer tracks properly, the loss of Step Streaks is extremely demotivating, and the real-time BPM was such a valuable feature.

I agree completely.

PA_Espinoza I think your analysis (and others) is correct. As a corp, they have the right to DC products and nudge the public toward new, but I think this way of handling it is not ethical.  I also love FITBIT slim profile and don't want a chunkier watch, but won't respond to this underhanded tactic. I will wear my fitbit while I search for slimmer models. Maybe apple will respond and give us a minimal version of their watch? If not, hoping Garmin has a low profile exercise product.

The only positive I find with this new app is the HUGE number of users who detest it as much as myself! The step streak was a good motivator on days I considered skipping gym. Let’s keep united in expressing disapproval of something we weren’t giving a choice in!
