Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

My sleep is totally screwed up now. Hours are wrong and my scores are
low. The FB app on my phone tells me I have low battery at 19%. I plug it
in to charge, and the watch tells me I am at 43٪! Am I being punished
because I hate the new app or is my Luxe dieing? Maybe both.

There are options that require jailbreaking the phone.  Mine is so old
most methods don't work

I've just seen the new update and it's absolutely horrible.  Where are the running totals for the week?  You can no longer see if you're syncing.  It's visually confusing.  Am definitely NOT impressed with this latest update and since Fitbit isn't listening to it's customers, then my next purchase will be a different brand.

This is coming from a place of goodwill (to be clear, I am only on here due to my intense dislike/frustration at the new app) BUT….. switch it off, remove your watch, then see how your sleep feels after a week. Looking at exercise stats is definitely a way forward in improving health but, looking at sleep stats is a sure-fire way to insomnia! Stop looking at those numbers and try some brown noise for sleep (free on Spot… you know the one…. won’t name as I’ll be deleted). Please don’t try to track your sleep. Every human tracks their sleep by how they feel when they wake up in the morning. That is the only measure that we need and, if you’re struggling, go to a sleep clinic. Take the watch off. I realize the new app isn't going anywhere but it seriously needs some basic improvements. 1) Have the HR display actually indicate what "zone" I'm in as my HR changes!, 2) New sleep graphs are incomprehensible and should be reworked, 3) Colour scheme needs to be more distinguishable for accessibility reasons, 5) "Calories remaining" should return!

Hate hate hate the new app. I can’t think of one redeeming quality!

The new app update is trash! Sleep score not working properly, (Sense 2) can't even reply to users comments. I've been with Fitbit since March 2014 and a Mod sent me directions on how to use the sleep score? If you don't agree with them, they remove your post/comment like we don't know what we're doing. Give us a little bit of credit as we are daily Fitbit users.

Ever since the new app I do not see my streak of 10,000 (and over) steps a day. I was up to over 440 days of not getting under 10,000 steps.

Now I'm not seeing that count.  Very frustrating and disappointing.

I'm so sorry, I know it's frustrating. I didn't have an option to reply except this way. It's like Fitbit or Google or both don't care about their customers.

I should have refunded my Sense 2 back in July had I known a ridiculous app update was coming, I would have bought a Samsung watch instead.

Hopefully the IT department does something useful for once and fixes what wasn't but now is. I'm not holding my breath thought.

Have a great evening.

not to mention on the app it doesn't tell you of any new messages.

I probably could have forgiven some of this stuff if there was a brief tutorial to show where things had vanished to. It took me coming on here and asking how I get to where I can edit my reminds to do my step days. It was so much easier before all this. Is this the new enhancements that are behind removing the challenges? If so I am not impressed.

I'm going to add my agreement to the thousands of others here that dislike the new app: Epic fail. Clearly there was no beta testing in the form of rolling it out to a small user group and getting feedback before they 'launched'. The lack of color makes it difficult to quickly locate categories, all of the graphic icons got smaller instead of larger (clearly some young developer with good eyesight was working on this). Some of the features and information that I used to frequently use have now disappeared, or are so buried I have yet to locate them. For all of the time and effort that went into this update, it's not clear what new features and advantages they brought to the user - seems like users would have liked it to be more customizable rather than less so.

Yeah Google is ruining fitbit.

@becreative  IKR! I mean even EA techs with all their faults and buggy SIMS 4 packs have beta testing done. Also, not being able to see some posts because people switched to the google login things is dumb.

It is so obvious no real testing was done. Had it been they might have spotted the invisible writing (some white font has been used to indicate < ). I raised it on twitter DM and got this explanation:

“You're welcome. Thanks for waiting. Our team has already replied. The arrow key is not visible. If you tap at the upper right corner (where you saw the Back option, as per video) it will take you to the previous page.”
and when I said okay do it will be corrected, received this reply:

“I can’t offer deeper insight into your specific question at this time. But fixes are being released through updates, so I recommend keeping your Fitbit app updated all the time.”

but when are they being released? I’m not a programmer, but surely something like the fonts could be sorted easily (including the lack of distinction on the “today” tab)

I contacted Fitbit via the chat facility.Complaining of this and other problems with the new display.Apparently once Fitbit changed it and it can’t go back to the old version. No hint that loads of people have complained till I read this forum.
They say Customer Service satisfaction is important. Obviously it’s not

There should have been an option to stay as it was or change! It's awful so hard to manoeuvre around compared to the original! Grrrrrr! They won't listen that's for sure, someone's bright idea to justify their position!Sent from my Galaxy

Has anyone else noticed it no longer seems possible to receive notifications of incoming texts and calls? Have tried everything but no luck yet.

This post is 100% right - but it is far far worse than this!

Lots of previously good functionality is broken - it's not just the look and feel.  I think this might be the worse app update I've ever seen on any app in my life.  How this got through unit test, nevermind product/acceptance testing is mindblowing to me.

Chiefly, when recording an exercise as a "Workout" I have always been able to "Edit Exercise" and select a new "Activity" which more closely resembles the activity I've just done.

"Edit Exercise" still exists in the current app, but the "Activity" field has been made Read-Only - even tho the app specifies it's a required field! Date and Start Time can weirdly still be edited - I suspect because the developer has introduced a bug based on widget type.

Now, if I login to my account through the website I can still update the Activity say from "Workout" to "Squash" - but then things gets even weirder on the app! Check out the screen grabs - most the screens in the app then do update to say "Squash", but if I try to edit it again (not unreasonable), it changes from "Squash" to "Walk" but remains Read-Only. When I come out of the edit screen it goes back from "Walk" to "Squash".

I know this sound unbelievable but here are the screen grabs to prove it!  This is taken on Android app version 40079081.

After changing Workout->Squash on the website it updates in the AppAfter changing Workout->Squash on the website it updates in the AppHowever if I try to edit Squash on the App, the App changes it to Walk! However if I try to edit Squash on the App, the App changes it to Walk!

I have been a Fitbit user for around 10 years and have alway like it. I am a Premium user now. The recent app update to ver 4 is terrible. Please change back to the ver 3 layout and functionality.

Here is a link that explains why they have destroyed the Fitbit Google now
owns the company. They have taken the best of Fitbit and moved it to their
new product and expect all the Fitbit users to throw out their current
device and purchase their new one
