Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

I agree! I am so disappointed with the changes.  They took something that worked and made it so unfriendly to read! I  May end up leaving Fitbit and moving to something else, that is how strongly I feel.   It constantly states I have no sleep score even when I do.  Updates on steps, etc don't seem to be happening half the time. Screen is ugly and I don't want to have to scroll more to get info.

On Fitbit, I agree.  People who are “activity conscious” need color stimulation.  Grey & white is so Boring!  While working out or jogging, who has 2 free hands to push buttons to change from 1 screen to another searching for data.  Used-to be able during any activity to check my HR … the new format is useless.

HR is an important issue.  Makes one wonder if people sitting at a desk (not working out) made the decisions on the new format?

The new interface is difficult read. It is minimalist monochrome with thinner lines making it difficult to look at and understand. Bring back the color and larger images. This minimalist design looks cheap and lazy

I've already started shopping other fitness trackers and apps. I'm happy my fiancee wanted to hold off when I offered to buy a Fitbit of some flavor for her birthday a few months ago. Super disappointing, as until I got my Charge 5 late last year, I'd been very happy to have my Fitbit, and was still mostly satisfied until I saw the direction things were headed when I downloaded the latest app update. Everything used to be so easy to get to and see at a glance in previous versions of the tracker and app.

On facebook & twitter :  fitbit  put a message " We hear you" but then people are repeating the same thing and fitbit is saying the same thing "we are sorry blablabla "

When will their executive apologize for thst disaster and for dragging the no response for 3 weeks

My deadline is blsck friday by then if we get back the previous UI & ALL functionalities .. i ll be gone to their competition

Saw several articles Google suggested today saying they hear us and will make changes to keep us happy. Hallelujah!

Please bring it back, this new version is hideous.

I highly doubt they'll make any changes cuz everything they do is for
themselves. If changes aren't made I will most certainly leave Fitbit and
probably go to Samsung.

@K8tie1983 your opinion seem to be the common thread. If FitBit/Google don't wakeup, and fix the app. Back to something that at least! Resembles the functionality of Fitbit app we knew and loved, versus this Google  mish mash 'thing' that doesn't work, even if you have a premium account, and isn't Disability Friendly either.

Most will leave, trade in anything to do with Fitbit and Google, I'm regretting my purchase of a Pixel phone, as a backup myself.

Many will stay with Android, but sadly, some will not. Google, should have foreseen this. It's what happens whenever someone ruins a good product

AMEN!!!!!!  Hate the new app.  Trying to figure out what other fitness device I can move to.  Sad because I have had a fitbit for a dozen years.

HATE the app.  I won't be purchasing any other fitbit product...after owning dozens so sad that Google has ruined FitBit

After nine years of continuous FitBit use, I bought a Garmin when they bricked my Charge 5 in July. I’m glad I did; this new app is horrible. I LOVED the prior app, and it was the main reason I stayed with Fitbit as long as I did, through plenty of bumps along the way. The only remaining reason I might have considered coming back - the app - is now gone. It looks like it was designed by a fifth grader. No thanks.

Wish I knew the alternatives.  Is G****n any good?

I also love the FitBit coaching. I have had premium for years. Very motivating. Options

Grace and peace to you…..

Clearly Google/Fitbit have no intention of retrograde steps to the app. For me I've lost the ability to compare my 4 years of weekly steps. Who needs an average on a screen?? It's not difficult to work out in your head FFS. I still have the sleep history as before, so why not the step history???

No apple products for me so maybe look at G####n when this Charge5 picks up...

My wife has already ditched hers and gone to an apple watch.

Adiós Google

We all know the new app is horrible, but it took me until today from the update to figure out you hadn’t taken away the option to see the readiness score for the week, it was that I literally couldn’t see the option with the white on white colour scheme. This is an accessibility issue.

I can see there are loads of comments on here and it’s good to know it’s not just me struggling with the new app! Does anyone know if there are any plans to let us revert back to the old app design? I love my Fitbit but I dislike the new app design so much that I’m considering just switching now. I’ve already cancelled premium because I hate going on to check my stats now anyway!

@Tinabeanss  Fitbit put out the following blog that certain features will be coming back and certain design elements corrected.

Well, I bought my fit bit to help motivate me, it has done the exact opposite. The steps have always been off, the heart rate is all over the place (like 90 bpm within a few steps), and now that they have changed the app, my sleep is off also. I have been on chat more times than I care to remember (and long times), the people on chat are very nice and try to help, but after a day of resetting the watch, yes ONE day,  it is always off yet again. I don't care to reset it EVERY DANG DAY, so I will be getting a different brand. I feel they have had plenty of time to correct these issues.

Is anyone from Fitbit actually reading these comments and taking note?  Can we get a response please...  the app is really starting to annoying me now, I haven't opened it often as it's just so depressingly ugly to look at and less user friendly than the previous one.

However I forgot to stop my watch recording my exercise this morning and left it running for 3 hours!  So I just opened the app to edit that, (once I'd found it!) it allowed me to change the time but not to amend the calories burned, so what's the point of that!  So I had to delete it and manually add the workout in which meant that I lost the other stats like heartrate. Also it doesn't allow you to change the exercise type. I do boxing but this isn't on my watch, yet it is in the app, so I set my watch to just 'workout' and then open the app and update it to boxing so as I have a record, but of course with this new restrictive awful app I can no longer do that!

What's happening Fitbit are you going to acknowledge all these complaints, or just hope we all eventually give up and shut up.  I'll be looking at other brands when I need a new watch if it remains this way.

Just spent days trying to connect and update the app. Finally succeeded and what am I faced with but the new updated app looks like it was developed by a child or the team have been introduced to some new illegal substance. Come on fitbit get your act together and start acting like a professional company
