Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

Seeing that an update is coming in response to our comments, I am happy to await its arrival. I’m glad the P-T-B are listening and I’m hoping for good things.

I am red green colorblind and Incannot differentiate the colors on the heart rate zone and pace maps in the app.

Would be great to have better accessibility features for this case.

I can’t believe that Fitbit could possibly think that the new interface is an upgrade. Does this somehow save them money? It looks cheap and boring. I am not a Premium member but wonder if they have changed this interface too … does anyone know? I was planning to upgrade to a Charge 6 from a Charge 5 but will now sadly be looking to other brands.

Fitbit upgrade:

- does it save them money?  Same thought crossed my mind.  The next thought that crossed my mind is ... "maybe Google owns more than 1 fitness tracker & is trying to eliminate Fitbit?"  Possible?

- Cancelled my premium.  It renewed Sep 1 2023.  Immediately after renewing (paying for the service), Fitbit dropped some of the features I was paying for.  If I bought a weight machine, unpacked it & several pieces were missing ... I'd take it back.  Same principle.

- Asking friends and other people who need those daily inspirational, motivational features, which tracker they use.

Previous display:

 - sent reminders to get up & move (not now)

 - flashed each day to say how many days you've met your step goal (not now)

- show you how much % battery you have left (not now)

- was in color (everybody knows color is stimulating); now it's grey & white BORING !!

I talked to Fitbit customer support this morning & asked "why did they take away so many great features".  She said because they wanted to change & get customer's feedback.  Huh?   My daily fitness goals can't "wait on Fitbit".   Have used Fitbit for years & sync it with another calorie program I use.   Guess I'll find another that works with my calorie program.  Fitbit wanted change ... they got it.

This is a horrible update.  When previously I could tap on my steps and easily scroll down to see how many I was averaging a month ago, now I have to tap several times and can only see 1 week at a time.  How is that useful????  the lengths I have to go to to find my data are ridiculous.

Used to love my fitbit.  Now I hate it and will be leaving this formerly wonderful product.

Totally Agree. Apparently???? they are promoting the Google pixel watch and in 2025 they're doing away with fitbit. Think they expect you to put it in the bin then. To be honest I should of done it years ago

I myself never used premium, not even the free trial. But I have been informed that they let you renew then cut several of the service's

I will buy a Gar*** watch before pixel watch if they stop the fitbit brand.

Some of the “fixes” Google is planning to make to the App are for Android only … I wonder why? What about those of us that use iPhone? Think I will asking Santa for a G****n unless Fitbit/Google gets its act together and goes back to the old UI or a real improvement on it.

There are no improvements in this user interface redesign; it's awful.  I had my screen arranged in a way I could read, in a single screen, and it was readable. The new interface is hard to read, and takes too many "pages" to display.

On top of that, suddenly, syncing isn't working properly.  This morning, I had some sleep stats, including sleep stages.  After a walk, I re-synced, and all the sleep stage stats were reset to ZERO, even though the graphic agrees with the original sync.

I've used Fitbit for nearly 10 years, but I am seriously considering switching to an Apple watch.

"She said because they wanted to change & get customer's feedback"

Reminds me of being easier to apologize than receive permission. Or using people as guinea pigs for their IT experimentation.

I have an iPhone. I'm flummoxed as to why these improvements (rollbacks) are for Android only!

What a disappointing mess.

I hope this doesn't get deleted because this IS customer feedback.

Lee Ann:

You asked : "I have an iPhone. I'm flummoxed as to why these improvements (rollbacks) are for Android only!" A few guesses-don't want to spend manpower adapting to another technology? They want to push their competitor the 'red fruit' phone holders to dump their fitbit for their Pixel? That isn't gonna happen...... if anything this whole f-up will turn red fruit users away from even considering that 'upgrade'.

Let's get some colors back into the "Today" screen rather than the drab looking one now after app update.

I’m so done. I ordered a different brand of tracker with a good looking interactive app, and it arrives today. I want a refund for my Versa 4- doubt I’d get one, though. Years and years of different Fitbit trackers but no more. I’m out. No google or apple, either.

HORRIBLE... I lost all my friends and family that I compete with since they haven't moved over. Called Fitbit to reverse this and they refused. NOW to get all my friends back, I have to wait until the move to Google and based on my experience none of them will move since they to WILL LOSE ALL THEIR FRIENDS. HORRIBLE LACK OF INFORMATION - I will now look for another product.  I have been using Fitbit since 2014 and I have lost so much as time has gone by.  THIS IS THE LAST STRAW.

It seems that Google has had a change of heart, from a previous post,
Google says they are returning to the old Fitbit! It takes a village!

Google does ya e another Fitness tracker, it was added to the FB website when Google took over.  Since some change is coming I will hold off.  Yes, premium has the same changes, same things that don’t work or are gone.  I am going to hold off in canceling my premium for the moment but seriously considering leaving FItBit if there isn’t significant change to the better.

Thanks for the validation. I'm shopping for a new device. Can't believe
Fitbit hasn't done anything to address all of this negative feedback, but I
think you're correct...they just don't care. Bye bye, Fitbit.

@PatriciaL20753   It is not going to be the "Old Fitbit" - they are only making some modifications and bringing back some of the features they took away.  See posted blog they made here.

What hundreds of others have already said: "Nymdok" is spot-on with his/ her analysis. The new app UI is a huge step backwards in terms of usability. It wasn't broken: what were you trying to fix?

PLEASE place the link to the Wellness Report at the bottom of the "Today" display.  Since the update, I cannot find it anywhere, even after reading the directions to find it.  (I have a Luxe and a Sense.)

I am very dissatisfied with the latest update specifically what has been done with the comprehensive information when clicking on steps. You kept the sleep format the same which is awesome. Can you please go back to the old format where we could scroll down and see our history? The graphs in my opinion are not useful at all.
