I have moved completely away from full operating systems (e.g. Windows, Mac). I now have a FitBit sitting on my wrist that is utterly useless. While I would like to stay with it, without an app for Chromebook, it looks as if and alternative fitness device might be in my future.
I love my chromebooks and I will need to return my Fitbit Charge HR since it won't sync. I didn't realize it until after I open the box and tried it out. Fitbit needs to sync with cromebook!
I'll add my two cents.....CHROME!!!! I'm heading to Europe and am taking my chromebook....I am a FAITHFUL user of my FItBIT....but it won't do me any good in Europe if I can't sync with my chromebook...bummer. please help us!
I guess the best solution is to get an inclusive laptop to take care of my Fitbit data. It would be so much simpler to have a Chromebook App for Fitbit. I'ts on Google Play.
I would also love an app for the Chromebook! I currently still have my old laptop, but will likely eventually move to Chromebook solely and hope that I can still sync my fitbit data for easy analysis.
What is the process or problem for Google to provide a Chromebook app for Fitbit? It's on Google Play and many of the same apps are on Chromebook. Is Fitbit for Mac or Windows any different than the Google Play app I use on my Android tablet?
I have a fitbit app on my iPad. This syncs with my fitbit scale and fitbit surge and the fitbit website (https://www.fitbit.com/).
When I open the fitbit webpage in my chrome browser, it is continuously synced as my scale and surge are synced with my iPad.
It appears that the way to get synced results on your Chromebook is to sync with an app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device (or even a Windows or Apple computer) and access the fitbit webpage in the Chrome browser on your Chromebook.
Note, the fitbit webpage is constantly synced in my chromebook. I assume that is because my Chromebook and iPad share the same wifi network.
Hello! I have an iphone 4 and a chromebook. Neither of my devices will sync with my fitbit charge hr! Please make a extension for the chromebook. I know they may not be super popular yet, but the number of chromebooks being purchased are increasing. It would be smart of you to make syncing to the chromebook available, since more of your customers would be using their chromebook as opposed to a laptop. This is better for your marketing as well, since you will have a wider range of capable devices that are being used by the every day people. Not only is creating this update better for your company, because it is making customers with the fitbit happy so you can get better ratings, but maybe it will allow more people to be able to use the fitbit, and increase your sales.
we really need an app for chrome book, when my computer hard drive finally dies and I can no longer sync my fitbit hd I will have to switch to a different type of tracker. I really prefer my fitbit.
With the new log in procedure they ask for a password that I can't remember. I check to get a new one and they say it's in the email but I can't find it. So I can't log in.
