Add Interval Training Timer (HIIT) That Buzzes at a Certain Pace

Hello,
I'm excited about the new products. I am a run/walker, and in training for my recent marathon, a friend had a garmin watch that vibrated at certain intervals. (Ex: if I wanted to have a pace of 3min run/1min walk it would vibrate at those intervals to keep me on track).

Yes please!! This would be a killer-feature for me. It's a nuisance having to carry around your phone with headphones and an app which beeps every time you need to switch from high to low intensity. It would be great if the band just vibrated at these intervals.

if you have a blaze it already has inteval....it can be set to time, or
distance. I would love a shorter interval that the lowest they have...2
minutes. but check your settings, it has been there for a long time

I think most of us are looking for an option to do for example 1:30 run and
30 seconds walk and not just a set 2 minutes run and the same for walk.

TO MODERATOR:

Is the interval timer going to be implemented anytime soon?

The discussion started in 2014 (!!!) and a lot of people supported the idea!

Yes there is a run cue but it is more of a lap timer, it only does equal
intervals. You can't set the interval that you need. Most runners don't do
equal length intervals they run for significantly longer periods of time
than they walk.

Thanks for the explanation.  Guess I'm not a real runner and wasn't smart enough to understand.      Maybe 5 half marathons in 6 months wasn't enough i will do more to make me a real runner so i understand.Anyway, being serious.  if you read peoples comments, you will see that many do not realize there is any settings for timers.. even if they are all equal.   People using it for other exercises might be happy to have it buzz every 2 minutes or more.    Anyway, thanks for explaining how intervals work.   Maybe i will let Jeff Galloway know.

Yes please an interval timer. If I am actually listening to music (which I actually usually do) play a chime as I often miss the vibration. Tx!

Interval training will be a great feature. Please add!!!! Can't believe it's been suggested in as early as 2014 and has still not been added.

I do like my fitbit products (my second one is the blaze).  I love my fitbit community.... but I recently started to run and need an interval trainer to help me.  I would like this option to be available on the blaze.... I think it is within your capability.  Please add this to the blaze.

I do not want to lose the community I am in,  but the Garmins have this as an option and they are waterproof.  Another thing I need.... and I don't think you can do that...

Please....

Please add the interval training timer like on the Charge 2. It is a very handy feature.

Surprised...shocked even, that the blaze doesn't have an interval timer.....how is it that the charge 2 has this feature and the blaze does not? This is essential for runners imo. I bought a garmin instead of a fitbit for this very reason.

Interval training would be awesome for the blaze, and I don't think it would be to hard to implement since Fitbit added intervals to the charge hr 2.

Def. need a basic interval component - seems silly that you can get something simple and free for a phone, but can't get the same for a watch.

Interval timer is a must. I have a blaze and it would be much easier to see from the watch than to keep looking at the phone. Please add this option to the blaze!!

+ 1  - I would like to skip for two minutes (timed) then one minute rest (timed) - 10 times in a row. The current format gives me no option to have different timers or the number of times I wish to repeat timer.

Does feel like we're being ignored 😞 Not a good way to retain brand loyalty is it?!? What is it they say... if you want true loyalty, go buy a dog! Ho hum!

16 pages of people asking for interval training on the Blaze!  How many pages they needed?  My own opinion: Fifbit should implement new features (when feasible) in all their new released models to have homogeneous customer satisfaction...  I'm sure it's feasible and I don't know why it was not done withing the latest firmware update who implement sleeping phases...   Will have to look and start to use a third party app for my interval running 😞

I have the Blaze, and love that you've added a mindfulness app, but what I really need is an interval timer. Please?

Interval training desperately needed! I think this request is being continually overlooked by the Fitbit team! Interval training is a big part of most people's training... this feature is needed!

Does anyone remember the Fitbit Force?  It was the predecessor to the Charge.  The Charge replaced it because so many people were getting rashes on their wrists from the Force.  Yeah, the Force was alive and kicking when this feature was first suggested.  Think about that....Fitbit has since replaced the Force with the Charge, introduced the Charge HR, Surge, Blaze, Alta, released a 2nd generation of the Charge HR with the Charge 2, Flex 2, and the Alta HR.  And still only one device does the simple task of tracking intervals.  And honestly, it is about as basic of an interval workout as there could be.  Garmin has run/walk intervals on practically all of their devices, but Fitbit half-asses an interval workout for only one device.  But hey, they are supposedly coming out with a new Fitbit smartwatch in the Fall, it will only cost $300.  Maybe THAT one will actually have the feature that hundreds of phone apps already support.  The "ultimate fitness super watch", Fitbit Surge (still being sold for $250), doesn't even have interval workouts, let alone run/walk interval training/tracking.  The Charge 2 only allows 49 rounds of move/rest intervals.  I can't even begin to understand why there is a limit, and why it is 49 rounds.  I guess they think we are incapable or realizing that we are still in an interval workout once that next interval starts.  Maybe we lose all sense of touch once we finish a workout that we are now immune to the vibration that previously told us to start the last interval.  I love the Fitbit app, my wife also has a Fitbit, and I'd like to stay with Fitbit.  I'm going to echo everyone's opinion in this thread by saying, "Get it together, Fitbit!"  But let's be serious, you won't.  You'll release some more devices, and these suggestions will be forgotten, if they've even been heard in the first place.  So let's see what your $300 Apple watch killer smartwatch will do, or not do.  I'll probably just end up buying a Misfit Vapor or Garmin Vivosmart 3(+ if they add GPS to their VS3) and move on from Fitbit.  I believe we all have been waiting too **ahem** long for you to actually listen to us.

Still waiting for the HIIT/run interval timer (2 years!!!) Ridiculous that fit bit hasn't developed this yet for the blaze, which was supposed to be a sophisticated monitor. I don't care about REM sleep minutes,  which is where new development seems to have been directed .I'm sick of  wearing a digital watch with interval timer along with my Blaze during my runs.

Do we name our dog Garmin? I think most Garmins have this option as well as free apps for phone and the Apple Watch.
