Add Lloyds bank to UK Fitbit pay

More bank compatibility for uk Fitbit pay versa users. So far Fitbit pay is not connected to any major banks in the UK. The very few that fit bit pay is connected to I’ve never even heard of. So as a UK versa owner I have the special edition and can’t use the very feature that separates it from the the normal versa.

 

is Fitbit pay going to compatible with the major banks in the UK like Barclays, Lloyds, Santander, HSBC, NatWest, TSB, Metro Bank, Halifax, Royal Bank of Scotland etc and also I haven’t seen any where (shops) that accepts Fitbit pay yet.

I have just received my Revolut card so I can use FitBit pay in the UK but the card supplied is VISA not Mastercard so is not compatible.  Revolut do not provide an option for either VISA or Mastercard when applying for the card so it is all a bit ridiculous.  I think FitBit should provide a partial refund to people who opted for the NFC version or pull their finger out and get some proper banks/building societies onboard: AMEX (UK), Lloyds, Nationwide, HSBC, etc...

There are a lot of us who quite agree with you.
If you go to this link to watchdog

to complain so that we can shame fitbit into doing something about this.

Please add RBS, it's strange that the feature is offered but not supported 

 

Surely the major banks of the uk should be added, not sure what the process is tho and how long this takes

What is happening on this front?? Are there going to be more banks added?  Surely if you can't get banks to join up then you should have brought out a fitbit rewards credit card that could link to it.

The only positive thing to come out of this is that people have been completing the link for BBC Watchdog to complain as there is no value in appealing to Fitbit to do anything!

Please add Nationwide building society to the uk Fitbit pay facility on the Fitbit Versa. I have had the watch since March 2018 and still unable to use this feature. Looking forward to using it soon! Thanks Fitbit

Yeap. Completely ignored threads. Extra is charged for the NFC version and I consider it false advertising on their website. Completed the WatchDog and going to write to Advertising Standards too.

BTW also tried a Revoult Mastercard and even that won't add.

I'm with NatWest, really disappointing about the severe lack of UK banks able to use Fitbit pay. I should have checked before buying for this function but just took it as red that all major UK banks would be usable in this day and age. Definitely not opening another bank account just for this!!!

As if they are going to do anything  about it. Fitbit is too busy releasing new trackers with pointless features so we can buy a new one every year. Waste of time. 

Had versa from beginning and issues arent sorted or banks added. Absolutely pointless

I agree more uk should be added like metro bank, natwest, lloyds, Halifax ect.  Hopefully they will be added soon

Why is this in a feature request section?? The feature is that UK Fitbit customers should be able to pay using any major high-street bank or building society.... full stop! Making the user post their request in a forum that doesn't get the level of attention it deserves is **ahem** right rude. Seriously annoyed with Fitbit. I bought one of their watches because I thought paying for small items would be so much easier. Almost 2.5 years after buying and I still can't use it to pay for things

Has anyone managed to get a revolut MasterCard to work with fitbit pay?
Fitbit says it's compatible participating bank but i got revolut card and
it will not register with fitbit. Revolut card works fine as standalone
card so guess it is a problem with the fitbit wallet fitbit pay app

No. Can't get my Revolut card to work either. Looks like FitBit is straying into fraud as well as falling foul of advertising standards. I say fraud because they have extracted extra money from customers based on the ability to use a particular feature that doesn't exist. A bit like snake oil ...
