Add a button in the Fitbit app to check for software updates

I think it would be cool to add a button in the Fitbit app so then we can check for software updates by clicking on the button.

Essential for cases where the device is not updated automatically, or even manually, having an option to check for the latest update at anytime would be very useful.

An option to check the status of all downloaded clocks and apps would also be useful.

Similar to looking for updates in Google Play - it should indicate any pending updates, and it would be good if there was some means for the developers to indicate the changes in the new version, of both tracker firmware and and apps.

This would alleviate interactions with the Fitbit help center for such cases where there are issues as there would be a guide for users to follow to resolve the issues themselves.

Would be very simple to add on the device page, underneath "Sync", add "Updates" "Check for updates and last time checked".

It seems this has been done.

However it doesn't seem to work properly - it generally always says the tracker is up to date.

Hi everyone, and thanks for sharing this suggestion. We’re very happy to let you know that this has been released on the Fitbit app. Just open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Help & Support > Check for Fitbit device update. If there isn't an update available yet for your device, you'll get up to date message. Otherwise, you'll be prompted to download the firmware version.

Are you saying it's now been fixed to tell you if there is an update and that the web pages no longer need be checked manually?
