Add body measurement feature

Can you please add a feature to track your body measurements: chest, waist, hips, thigh, and arm? I would like see my progress in inches +/-. When I'm not losing weight, I want to make sure the body inches are still going down. Thanks.

A place to record all body measurement would be good. His, waist, bust, arms etc.

I agree as well. I used the body measurements and need to be able to see my changes. I just upgraded to Premium thinking that my body measurement option went away because that expired but to my dismay I still can't input measurements. Please Bring That Function Back!

I think its insane that a fitness website would be so short sited that it would remove the most important measurements from their tracking.  Weight is a small part of the overall picture. Its one thing if it was strictly a diet site, but this is a FITNESS site and activity tracker.  There are many weeks that I do not lose weight, but am still losing inches.  I would say this feature is even more important than overall weight.  Please put it back in.

@Hodge - I agree!  I just did the same thing: recorded my measurements and went to enter them in and realized this whole feature had been removed.  What a bummer!  Why remove this?  It is such an important of indicator of health beyond just your weight.  I was really disappointed.  Please bring it back!

I thought I'd like to track body measurements as an indicator of improvement, not just weight ... only to find it's not an option any more!  I know I can always write it down in a notebook, but it would be nice to have the option to have it show up on my dashboard somehow.  I hope the feature is brought back!

Waist measurement is a good indicator of health. Please add the ability to record this useful and respected measurement.

Seriously. I don't understand why this was removed. Why do you keep removing functionality?

Waist measurements is a measurement that is as important as weight closer we get to our fitness goals.  We start gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat, and a good way to know is comparing your weight measurement to your weight measurement.  I have lost inches in my waist and seen little weight loss.  I lift weights on a consistent basis.  Please add the ability to record the waist measurement.

All this whole fitbit thing is missing for me is body measurements tracking. I don't want to have to use another app just for this I really wish you would add it to the app and Web interface.

We shouldnt have to use another ap to map our body measurements!!! Does Fitbit own MyFitnessPal or something is that why you are asking your customers (who paid good money for fitbit products) to use another ap???

it seems to me body measurements are a vitial part of tracking ones weight lose journey. Relying on wieght alone is not an acurate reading.

Disappointed owner of a fitbit and Aria scales. I would consider other options when looking to update my tracker now.

Nice idea! It would be nice to track body measurements on this app!

Agree. I use myfitnesspal app just for that feature. But would love to just use Fitbit.

It's essential when being on the journey to become healthier and know there's progress aside using the scale. Heart

I just sent an email to Fitbit suggesting this and they said they sent it on to their development team but to also vote on it here as that will help make it happen. I think this would be wonderful, there is so much more to weight loss and a healthy lifestyle than just a scale alone.

Yes! Not just waist but also biceps, hips, thighs, calfs and chest.

I noticed the same thing. I would like to see measurements available on the web and on the iPhone app like MyFitnessPal.

Please consider making it possible to track body measurements as part of the dashboard. Thanks!

More importantly, why did Fitbit remove body measurement tracking, which is a good indicator of health -- especially hip-to-waist ratios for women -- and still include BMI, which is a terrible measure of individual health, especially for athletic people?  If you are going to get rid of functions, ditch the BMI and bring back logging for measurements that actually help people track their health!

In making the decision to dump the body measurement logging feature, FItbit got rid of an important health measure. Keeping BMI is just straight up laziness  -- it is easy to program the website to calculate it from the weight and height the user inputs.

Agreed - this is such a big miss on FitBit's part. While this is not a
feature that people update extremely frequently (I weigh myself daily, but
I take my measurements every 30 - 90 days) it is a crucial piece of health
data. I am very disappointed that this was taken away. I hope more users
speak out if they agree it is important - hopefully FitBit will listen.
