Add more than 7 Exercise Shortcut

Fitbit needs to add/update features to their exercise options.  For one, users should be able to add their own exercises to fit our needs and not be limited to only seven exercises.  For example: I would like to add cardio or dance to my exercises in order to monitor my HR and activity, at this time I'm not able to do so and have to combine it with the catch all (workout).  Also, I have 9 different workout/cardio exercises that I do and have to constantly delete one of the seven to make room for a different workout that I do.  This needs to be updated to allow users to have more than seven exercises.  I previously owned a Garmin and loved it's features, I was able to add my own exercises, for example: I added specific cardio exercises,  leg, back etc. days separately. At this time, I would not recommend the Fitbit Ionic to any one and would stir them to purchase the Garmin or Apple watch.

Hi @Makwa12! We wanted to let you know that one of the ideas you recently posted already exist on the Feature Suggestions Board. You can see it here:
More workout types

Please add your vote to that existing suggestion. You had shared a unique suggestion, so we have retitled and relabelled your original post here to reflect that idea. Please try to make sure you only post one idea per suggestion, so we can keep the board organized, easily searchable and see which idea other members are voting for

The update needs to be for adding an exercise like something for an arm bike or nustep which are all used in cardiac rehab instead of having to do it manually every time by doing different workout modes and then go back each time and change every one this is on my charge 2 i love the fitbit app and what you offer but this would be a lot easier if they were able to add in the shortcuts a new exercise

I would love to see ALL of the exercise shortcuts available to scroll through on the user's device (Currently I use Versa as an example, but also am a previous Blaze owner).

I bike, run, walk, lift weights, do yoga, swim, do the elliptical, go to fitness classes, etc on a regular weekly basis.

I am only able to select a few of the exercise short cuts, meaning that I have to remove, add, and update my fitbit a couple times a week to accommodate my workouts. I would really just like to have all these options there, on the scroll, straight on the device, instead of picking and choosing. Of course keep the delete option for others to clean up, but why limit this? Especially since I cannot manually select "elliptical" from the app. It is only a device option (such as I can select walk/run through the app to get GPS going directly).

I am obsessed with this feature, don't get me wrong. It is essential to me every day. But updating the Fitbit to add and remove this is not something that can always easily be done on-the-go (sometimes w/o wifi it is a bit harder to get it to cooperate), and let's face it, how many of us really sit down and pre-plan "oh I'm going to yoga, better make sure it's on my exercise shortcuts before I run to the class in 15 mins!"

The features page on the website says that Versa tracks 15+ exercise modes but I'm only able to track 7.  Why does the website say 15+?

I play football once a week and while my ionic always auto-detects it as a generic 'sport' activity it would be nice if i could tell it i was about to play football before i started each time.

The Fitbit versa/ionic are advertised as having support for 15 exercise types, which is true theoretically, but technically, you can only have 7 types on the watch in the exercise app.

It is severely inconvenient to say the least. Is there a reason why such a limitation is necessary?

Please let us choose as many exercises as we want. We paid for the product, we should have full access to its features.

Hope you take it into consideration.

I agree with lot of fitbit users that we should be able to track more than 15 excercises as it is written on every package. But now we can track just 7 excercises because of limited shortcuts.

When I go to the gym, I often do multiple exercises which may include Spinning, Elliptical, Swim, Treadmill, Stairclimber, Racquetball, or some other workout. When I'm outside, I also play Tennis, Hike, and Bike. Six shortcuts isn't enough.
