Allow Fitbit devices to receive WeChat notifications

this is very important for fitbit support the wechat.

This will help fitbit more large to open the China market.

Many of my friends do not use fitbit since its do not support wechat, especially wechat sport.

I think this is not very difficult for some programming team to develop this function.

You can find information here: http://iot.weixin.qq.com/

Hope this help fitbit become better.

the chinese “fitbit” xiaomi is a quarter of the price, has all the most basic simple fitibit features AND WECHAT NOTIFICATIONS. My Charge 2 is beautiful and has very helpful features but my friend’s xiaomi band with the wechat notifs is significantly more useful, living in China. Please develop it already.

If you use Android, the app called Fit Notifications fixes this!

You are right, there's no excuse for the Fitbit application to not pass these notifications through on Android and Apple. Ridiculous.

I got the fitbit for Christmas but will be returning it since it's not compatible with wechat werun or notifications. Very disappointed, especially at the lack of response on fitbit's part.

It is compatible if you use an Android device. Download Fit Notifications. It works great with your wechat notifications.

Please make the Fitbit products compatible with the WeChat. Since the results can not show on the Wechat which most of my friends use. I have leave my Fitbit Charge along for long time which is a waste,

My Garmin tracker had WeChat notifications, why not Fitbit? I’ve had my Charge 2 less than a week and really love it, but oh I wish it had WeChat notifications

Please support WeChat! I use Fitbit to monitor myself, but my friends all use WeRun on WeChat. I run on the treadmill because it is so cold in Northern China, but I cannot show my friends my progress because Fitbit does not connect to the WeChat App.

It would be great if I could sync my Fitbit to WeRun, the step-tracker feature on WeChat. In China, everyone uses this and I really wish I could add my Fitbit data to it, as I don't carry my phone when I'm running.

Totally agree, wechat has a very large community and my friends and I will compete and see who has the most steps. Having the fitbit makes life a bit easier not having to carry the phone everywhere. It's a shame that they are not compatible. Please implement this feature.

I'm surprised this has been moved to not currently planned, as wechat has almost 1 billion accounts, and so many use the WeRun option to compete with friends.

Wechat would be able to integrate with us by using our Web API.

Hello Fred from Fitbit, can you please explain to me, the common fitbit user on iphone how we can integrate the information on wechat, Thanks.

@tghoorah: it would need a developer to make this happening as it involves some programming. It's something Wechat developers/engineers can integrate into their platform.

Work and travel in China and was really disappointed to hear that after years fitbit doesn't support WeChat. I just lost my Apple Watch and saw the new Versa which looked really good but when I looked into apps and it's 2018 and they don't support WeChat... pass.

Agree completely, myself, along with numerous other interested parties have posted comments expressing disappointment that WeChat is not supported, the response from Fitbit.......a big fat ZERO, which says they couldn’t care less. I’m already planning my next product, and unless something changes it will not be a Fitbit. Many of my friends in China comment on the good style of my Fitbit, they then buy another product when I tell them it won’t support WeChat. Such a huge “opportunity missed” by Fitbit.

Hi,

Both of my parents just bought the new versa, they were disappointed not having the options to use werun let alone having wechat notification.

Srsly, most Asian parents use wechat as their primary communication source and yet fitbit lose out on this chance to gain an audiences.

Please please fitbit add in an option to have werun or even wechat notification .... 😞

As fitbit said on their FAQ "your voice is important to us" but this had been ignored. Look at the comment from 2016 till now. Its has been 《not currently planning》 please look into the asian market, since your product is made in china, look into what asian mainly used to communicate.

Thanks

(Sorry for my bad english)

i will buy the new watch if it supports wechat notification. I know most people in asia stop using SMS with friends when Wechat took over...
