I ride a bike a lot and it doesn't count my steps.  I have had a Fitbit One for years and I can easily put that on my sock, BUT it is starting to not charge and I'm going to need a new one.  I am so disappointed you guys don't make this anymore, and none of your new fitness trackers can be worn anywhere but your wrist (or a pendant, but that's it).  Those options don't work for me.  I dislike the Zip because I've had one and it's poor quality.  Why get rid of the One?  OR you need to have an ankle option for another Fitbit!  Thank you!!!!!

My wife has one of the older versions of your fitbit and that one allowed her to keep it around her ankle which tracked her steps better. Do you have plans for adding a band that could do that again?

I lost my fitbit trying to wear it on my ankle because it was not designed for that. Practically everyone I know either wears theirs on their ankle or wishes they did for hundreds if reasons. I've read a lot of reviews that say some form of "ankle option wanted". So come on. We don't need another watch. One smart watch is enough for most people. What I want is a fitbit designed for the ankle. One that counts steps. Preferably slim to fit under a sock. Does not need much of a screen because it will be on my ankle. Preferably waterproof for swimming or puddles. Preferably with heart rate tracker.

How many of you get upset when you look down at your Fitbit after going for a long stroll either in the super market or outdoors only to realize it didn't track in of your steps because you are either pushing a shopping cart or a stroller.

Also when I'm done with a good spin class I always wonder how many actual steps I took during that class.

That's why I'm  wondering wouldn't it be awesome if Fitbit came up with an ankle Fitbit.

It seems like it would be more accurate then it is on our wrists because it would be able to track all the movements.

Also you could make so many cute bands. You can make ones that look like jewelry or have ones that are for the athletic people.

What do you think Fitbit ❤ and other Fitbit users???

I have a suggestion for the Alta HR, make a strap you can put on your ankle that connects by BlueTooth(??) to your wrist device that can track your steps more accurately than just the wrist device.  This would be especially beneficial if the person is pushing a stroller, shopping cart or walker.

I suppose an idea like this would work for any FitBit device??

When is an ankle Fitbit going to be created? I always wear mine on my ankle because my arms are often carrying, or pushing, or holding things, or my hands are in my pocket when it's cold out meaning they are not swinging back and forth. During these times I noticed my tracker counted very few steps sometimes none at all. It seems like the logical next step to make an attractive ankle tracker that won't have people asking if you are on house arrest. (Has happened several times! ) This had been an issue for not only me, but my family members and friends. We cannot be the only people out there wishing you offered more than just wrist wear.

Hi,

I work in an environment that sometimes we can not wear our fit bit on our arm.  I think it would be great to have a strap made for our ankle.  Right now I am using the large bracelet and put it on my ankle and put my sock over it in case it falls off because I haven't attached it properly.  Any suggestions would be great.

Any plans on a fitbit that can be worn on the ankle. A small chip in an ankle bracelet, with a band on the wrist, with all the data. I feel this would be more accurate counting steps, for people who just want to be more active. Wearing on the wrist doesn't count all steps if your arm doesn't swing, so carrying items, or pushing things, shopping cart, baby stroller, nothing counts. Wearing my charge 2 is a little bulky, and not attractive. A cute ankle bracelet would be perfect. Thank you

In the short time I've had my Fitbit Versa, I noticed when going grocery shopping or if I lay my hands on anyting, no steps are recorded.

May I suggest an accessory, which is an ankle bracelet that syncs with your watch that picks up every step.

By implementing a synced ankle bracelet, it would provide accurate steps while riding a bike, grocery shopping or anything that you have to rest your hand on that you don't record steps such as carrying a purse or bags.

I have a Fitbit versa and whilst I’m pleased with it. I would like to be able to wear it on my ankle especially when spinning or pushing a trolley or any activity where my arms do not move.

I have found that steps are not recorded if not moving your arms! I have found that steps are not counted when spinning or on the treadmill walking because gps is not activated.

It would be great if there was an extra long strap available.

I hate wearing things on my wrist and I don't want to have to remember to take them off of my clothes. I currently wear my Flex 2 around my ankle.

I have had 4 Fitbit devices over many years, not even sure how long, 10 maybe?

I am very disappointed that there isn't an option to wear on your ankle.

For some reason, cannot find the same large band that came with my tracker. It goes up to 10.5" and fit my ankle. It is getting pretty stretched out so I wanted a new one, but am unable to find one.

I want something small, not bit and bulky like many of the aftermarket bands are.

Anyway, I have always been happy with my fitbit products. Please consider one for the ankle, that is also waterproof.

Hi @ARM  have you seen the Inspire with the optional clip? It's not waterproof, but it can be taken from the band and put into the clip or in any waterproof strap you wish. You might want to go back to your post and remove your  email address. This is a public forum and you want to stay safe.

When I work, I can't wear my Ionic on my wrist, so I tuck it into my sock. I would LOVE for you guys to develop an ankle bracelet/band for your devices! Something soft enough, it isn't noticeable, but strong enough it won't break. Attaching a device to my shoes is also not feasible as I work with animals, and if it didn't get crushed, it would definitely be attempted as food.

I do wear my Fitbit ionic on my ankle almost all of the time except in summer when I’m wearing shorts. I turn it on the inside of my ankle on the lower leg because that’s where the pulse is so it’s pretty accurate. I Purchased a magnetic band on Amazon that’s long enough so that I can literally take it apart put it on and put it back together. It works amazingly and I find the steps are way more accurate on my ankle than they are on my wrist.  I do wish that they would make a Fitbit that you can wear on your ankle specifically, That kind of looks like an anklet rather than looks like you’re on home monitor or something but I do love to wear it there. I would love to be able to wear another Fitbit on my wrist so that I can see what time it is or see who’s calling. It’s kind of difficult to have to lift up your leg to check out your messages. LOL

I looked at the available bands on Amazon, but none fit the Ionic and/or my
ankle. I use an ankle wallet to hold mine. I removed the band, and drop the
face of my Ionic into the zipper pouch so the back is over my pulse. It
works, but I agree that it isn't the best looking option.

I would love some sort of ankle band to use while doing activities that my arms are not moving as much such as: swimming with a kickboard, pushing a stroller or shopping cart, stationery bike, walking on treadmill but holding on, pushing around a wheelbarrow, carrying around a laundry basket or something else, and I am sure there are much more I am not thinking of. I have read that people put the fitbit in their pockets or around the ankle, but that is not very convenient, and I use my fitbit for a watch as well.  It would be great if I could pop something easily on my ankle to sync with my fitbit on my wrist to more accurately help me count my steps and activities.
