Hi @Ahood112

Would you please explain the areas where you would like to see the text in Arabic (i.e. the web site, the devices, the JSON response from the Web APIs, the JSON response for the subscriptions API, etc)?

Thanks!

Gordon

Hi @Ahood112, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to see Arabic sms and other Arabic notification. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration".

You can also vote for this other suggestion: Allow Fitbit Pay to support Apple Pay.

I hope to see you around.

Hi @Gordon-C,

let me simplify what we are requesting:

we need the fitbit versa 1, 2 and 3 to be able to display correctly the characters for the notification received in arabic language.

we are not asking the arabic language for the menu of the watch, just the notification, and that is not something huge and difficult to ask from a big company like fitbit that own all the resources of their devices. this request has been moved several time by moderators to suggest features!!!! can you imagine how many arabic user they needed this? we have received lately firmware upgrade for the versa 2 that added multiple languages to the watch excluding arabic, so my advise to the moderator stop wasting our time by saying that they have moved this.

anyway,  i am sure that added the arabic support to be display should take effort by the developers team not exceeding 3 to 4 hours, and you know that is the truth.

sorry if my post is harsh,  but put yourself in our position, paying  for what fitbit calls smartwatch whilst what you get isn't that smart since square caracters are displayed when receiving arabic notifications.

I remember having this issue with my first smartphone sony back in 2009, and it was sorted out by sony in less then a month,, now we are in 2021 and it's been 3 years and more with same people begging fitbit for a solution, what a shame.

I have been a fitbit user from 2014, all tracker that i have owned with notification capabilities shoes the square for arabic notifications and it didn't bothered me much,  but the turn was when i bought the best what Fitbit are offering at that time, the versa2.

hopefully you can get us shortly the date for the new firmware release to our watches with the cure  to our issue.

Thanks.

Hi,

Fitbit has done so many updates during the last months and years, but one feature has been asking for many times is not added yet. As thousands of Fitbit users are Arabian, we have requested to add Arabic language at least when we receive a notification. Please -developers- make this real we fed up waiting since 5 years ago.

What a shame that after more than two years asking still the issue is under consideration. We only ask to have the arabic/farsi notifications in the same forma on our watch rather than just seeing question marks. It does not a huge breakthrough. Other competitors they offer this features for many years. I wish I bought Samsung watch rather than wasting my money by buying a gadget from a company that does not care about arabic/farsi speaking costumers. Extremely disappointing.

we need Arabic support, Arab population is about 420 million that's almost 35% of the world and your watches don't support Arabic .. very disappointing.

I was planning to buy 4 devices for my family members.

I wish you would focus more on this feature because it's very important.

thank you in advance

Make sure This will make your sales increase. Everything is beautiful in this sports watch, but it really lacks support for the Arabic language, and you can only look at the number of Arab users of your products in order to be sure of how much you need to support the Arabic language

Please add support for Unicode languages like Arabic especially for notifications display. Fitbit is an internationally recognized company with no less quality products compared to Apple and the likes, if not even better. Many would appreciate it.

I wish to consider the topic of adding the Arabic language, and I do not think that adding the Arabic language is this difficult. I do not think that Apple and Samsung are better than you when adding the Arabic language in their devices and distinguishing them ..

I hope to add Fitbit Pay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia because it is a necessary thing, because it has been added in Kuwait and the UAE, and I do not think that it is difficult to add it to Saudi Arabia.

Thank you

Versa watch is truly unique in terms of design and performance
Two days ago, I bought five hours for me and 4 as gifts and regretted buying them because today, during her experience, I discovered that it does not support the Arabic language.
