Blood pressure Fitbit device with historical tracking

It would be great if Fitbit either created a blood pressure monitor and a glucose monitor that would sync with the dashboard or if they would team up with another company (Omron, diabetic community app) to have their product sync with the dashboard instead of having to manually enter it.

Does this mean our ideas have been accepted? Please answer. Thanks.

No. This means instead of simply adding one more database element for user input they have partnered with a company to increase device sales.

Typical misread of customer needs.

Please add a blood pressure feature to manually type in the app. Also, explain how it has improved with a healthy lifestyle. Thanks!

Yes, this is something I would like as well.  I would like it if Fitbit would build a Wi-Fi Blood Pressure monitor as well to go along with the Aria Scale and Fitbit trackers.

I would love to be able to manually add it, even better I would love to have a blood pressure one that auto uploaded to Fitbit and I would buy it ever came to market.

I wholeheartedly agree that blood pressure readings should be added to the mobile dashboard.  The FIt bit prides itself in cardio health yet is missing such an important part of the picture.  The blood pressure should be able to added in manually within the heart rate or body weight screen.  Eventually a cuff can be developed to make a direct entry, but for now a manual addition should be available.

I have given Fitbit my blood sugar testing idea (under-Requested Features) they have yet to act on it.

A way to monitor our blood pressure would be VERY NICE!!!

I'd find it really handy to add Blood pressure data since it's something I monitor alongside the Fitbit data. Might also be useful to have a short free form data entry field for comments.

I agree 100% that this is a valuable tool for the health conscious, and from a marketing standpoint the more features I have in one app the less likely I am to stray to another app. That is how I became a Fitbit user, TactioHealth made some changes several years ago that eliminated some of my go to features and I turned to Fitbit and eventually quite using TH.

Well folks - if people are using any device like one touch etc. they already have an electronic record.  Just download that to the dashboard - fitbit should be able to implement this easily.  Alternatively just provide a manual entry - this way I have all the data I need in one place.  How difficult is it?  I just think Fitbit is not wanting to do this.

My idea is a a glove type that would let you take a sugar reading...but Fitbit isn't biting. Don't know why...it would be useful when you're out and about. Andrea

I too want to see this feature.  A manual process is all.  Like others have said, this is another way Fitbit can put itself ahead of other fitness trackers.

exactly. All I want is a place to log, just like we log weight. It would
be great if in the future, fitbit could read an Omron bp monitor, but right
now, just give us a place to manually log. Resting pulse is usually read
at the same time and would probably be a something runners would like to
track as well.

I would love to have the ability to add blood pressure readings so we can track it.  This is good to show your doctor also.

I'd be interested in a product that can test and monitor blood markers. Something that takes a drop of blood first thing in the morning and prints some useful stats. Main metrics I am interested in these days in the decreasing order of priority for me would be something like:

- Ketone Level

- Insulin Level

- The two types of Colestrol Levels

- IGF level. Or maybe other types of interesting hormones.

- Sugar / Glucose levels. Glucose level is not really important for me any more but I would have liked to monitor these in the past.

I think a lot of people with insulin issues (I'd say nearly 1/3 of the population and growing) could be educated to find such a product attractive.

Idea of a blood glucose monitor/tracker and compatibility with data from other apps seems like a positive step to me.  I would be interested in these features.

I came here specifically to request this as well. I'd love this feature.

Hi, I am a newly diagnosed diabetic and it is important that I track a range of health indicators, weight, calories, sugar levels and blood pressure. I currently have a Charge HR and Aria scale which I am very pleased with. However I need to record blood pressure and sugar levels and would want to do this so that all data is in one place (is Fitbit dashboard). Ideally it would be great to have wifi hardware to do this (there is already kit in the shops doing this already) but to start with the ability to record manually would be of real use. They say that diabetics is one of the fastest growing problems in the west, so I guess this will also be a growing market opportity.

I absolutely agree that there needs to be an option to manually record Blood Pressure and Blood Glucose on the app. There are a lot of other fitness tracking apps that allow you to manually record BP and BG and I'm suprised that Fitbit doesn't offer it seeing as both are very important in overall wellness.

Hi,

Would be fantastic to have Blood Pressure and BMI tracking within the dashboard so I don't have to use multiple health applications.

I am aware the Fitbit can't read blood pressure, but I would like to see the return of the ability to manually enter and track blood pressure
