Blood pressure Fitbit device with historical tracking

It would be great if Fitbit either created a blood pressure monitor and a glucose monitor that would sync with the dashboard or if they would team up with another company (Omron, diabetic community app) to have their product sync with the dashboard instead of having to manually enter it.

My very original question to Fitbit was for a blood pressure monitor with the Fitbit device. At some point in their wisdom they grouped that request with one for blood glucose measurement and since then my original request has died. There is no way that these two will ever be combined by Fitbit so their whole idea of getting input from consumers is a joke! I made the blood pressure request almost 2 years ago. Good luck with anything from Fitbit.

I agree!! While both blood pressure and blood glucose are important information, they should not have been lumped together. They are very different and should be discussed separately. Blood pressure appears it should not be a big deal since so many other companies have already implemented it.

Furthermore,

I'd imagine there's huge opportunity here for the right entrepreneur.

30 years ago, 1% of people in China had diabetes. Now it's 11%, which is slightly higher than even the USA. And many of those patients are not getting the support they need.

As China puts on weight, type-2 diabetes is soaring

Trying harder to prevent and treat it could save both lives and money~

Well thanks for the info - not sure what this has to do with Fitbit blood pressure monitoring device.

I am definitely interested in a non-cuff BP functionality in a FitBit Device.

As I am disappointed in the limited Aria2 Scale functionalities, I have started looking at alternate heath-tracking devices available on the market - it is important for FitBit to take note of the competing products that are very quickly closing the gap on FitBit's innovative competitive edge.

Unfortunately - as a five+ year FitBit user, it looks like I will be saying goodbye, unless some of these NOW basic features become available in their product line.

You should be able to check your blood pressure through your Fitbit (all models). Too many activity trackers/watches are able to do this and some are inexpensive. Fitbit should be able to offer this either by updates or an app.

I like my Fitbit. I currently have a Fitbit Alta and a Fitbit Charge 2. I wear them interchangeably and record the data using the Sync option. Last week I got an Apple Watch. I like the Fitbit app and the dashboard. How do I get the Apple Data into the Fitbit app? This is very important to me as I monitor progress on a monthly basis.

Sorry, I have no idea. This is more a question for support. They are brilliant at answering your questions.

Hi @Sje40962! Great suggestion, thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request. Post a comment or click on the thumbs-up to show your support.

Blood pressure monitoring is now doable as part of a wearable device eg. https://www.medicaldevice-network.com/features/wearable-blood-pressure-monitor-omron-heartguide/

The basic alternative is to have it either linked to collect data from 3rd party apps or manually inputs like the female health, food or water intake tiles.

Myself I am looking for the watch to take the bp. I can purchase a no-name activity tracker that can do that or another high end one. If I’m taking it by another device, I would track it on a simple app like HeartStar BP Monitor. (Graphs and charts that Can be printed or emailed to your dr).

I have a cheap ($30) watch that takes BP. This would be easy to incorporate
in Fitbit.

Having high blood pressure, I would absolutely LOVE having Blood pressuring monitoring on my Fitbit devices. It's so important to have.

I've tired other Blood pressure watches and they just aren't accurate. I know Fitbit can really bring the heat and make this such a great feature. I'm requesting this 1000%.

I suffer from high blood pressure and take medication. I would like to be able to monitor my BP during the day without having to use a cuff. Even if it isn't 100% accurate but would be reasonable, it would be beneficial.

Eugene, I did the same. Morepro ECG Tracker. Has it all and it's amazing. I just hope fitbit gets on board and really incorporates this.

I also have a separate (cheap) monitor that does BP pretty good. Can't
understand why Fitbit can't accomplish what the cheaper bands can.

Add me to the list. Buh bye Fitbit, hello MorePro E-CG Fitness Tracker. Nothing special about the fitbit that is worth paying such a premium now that it is missing key features.  And I hate Alexa or ANY corporate listeners....so no thanks on multiple fronts.
