Blood pressure Fitbit device with historical tracking

It would be great if Fitbit either created a blood pressure monitor and a glucose monitor that would sync with the dashboard or if they would team up with another company (Omron, diabetic community app) to have their product sync with the dashboard instead of having to manually enter it.

Blood sugar tracking can be added to the dashboard for finding the correlation between calories consumed by walking exercise and corresponding sugar readings. This is necessary to make necessary changes in the life style .

You need to get BP monitoring on this device and then it would be very comprehensive.  If you had a keen sales department you would could crack into the health network and offer a take home device that patients could use to improve activity, heart rate and BP monitoring post cardiac or surgical incidents.  Need a sales rep??  Contact me directly!

Hi i feel it's about time blood pressure comes to charge 2, in watch and app. This shall be one classy feature and shall give fitbit the edge in the market.

Would love to see this too though not sure how it can technically be implemented.

Gets my vote!

I think it would be possible, I've an app that does just that using the phones flash. I think it would need to be reasonably accurate as Fitbit could be held responsible for people panicking etc if a false reading is given

Hi @tbarry27 An update to this topic, Fitbit announced a collaboration with DexCom to develop and market products to help better manage their diabetes and get a more complete picture of their overall health.

The first planned initiative will be an experience available on Fitbit Ionic that will show users data from the Dexcom G5 Mobile continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) System (with either Android or iOS devices) right on the wrist, without having to open an app. This will be developed using the Fitbit SDK and available in 2018.

So if we have the blaze will we get an upgrade? I don't want to have to buy a whole new watch.

A fitbit device that would assist the tracking of glucose levels would've been quite helpful with my wife gestational diabetes.

I need this to work for the Alta. There is no way I can afford an Ionic.

There should be a blood pressure monitor added to the ionic for people with high blood pressure to be able to keep track

Hi, I'm a type 1 diabetic with an abbot freestyle "flash" that continiously monitors my glucose. The only inconvenient is that I need a separate machine to pick up the data of the patch on my arm (via bluetooth). If I could check it on my fitbit it would make my life considerably easier and increase my health!

Great Idea. The dashboard should support cross referencing activities with Blood Pressure and/or pulse

How come that there have been comments on this matter for over 2 years and we don't have this feature yet. Rather the closest thing to it was removed.

Does anyone at fitbit read these comments?

Totally with you all. Will someone at fitbit show that they hear us?

Apparently just not going to offer. It would be nice if it will never be offered, just say so.

I do not think Fitbit care on what we say.....

ONly when a competing products will drastically reduce their sales and profit they will start to look into it

That's unfortunate but the reality of the market

For blood pressure I am currently using the Qardio it has some minor problems. But for the most part does a good job.
