Blood pressure Fitbit device with historical tracking

It would be great if Fitbit either created a blood pressure monitor and a glucose monitor that would sync with the dashboard or if they would team up with another company (Omron, diabetic community app) to have their product sync with the dashboard instead of having to manually enter it.

I just sent fit bit support a note on this.  They absolutely need this.  There are tons of BP trackers out there with capacity to store and access hundreds of readings and in some cases download them to a computer, but I want exactly what you want...a fit bit BP tracker.  I would probably pay quite a pretty penny for something that works as well as, say, the Aria scale, which by the way, is an awesome device!

I agree with all of you. I use 'Diabetes App' on my iPhone. It would be nice if there was an app that would integrate with the FitBit program without having to lug around my computer.

I don't know a diabetic who doesn't have to enter data all day long, and having to go to the desktop app only to do it is annoying. Why can't I do it on my phone?

Consider your customers that are counting carbs.  I am running SPARKPEOPLE in parallel to keep track because there seems to be nothing on the dashboard or the logs for this.  This will be a valuable feature for any of your pre-diabetic or diabetic fitbit owners.

I'm on a low carb diet where I count my Net Carbs. There is no way that I've found to see this. Is there a way to request it to be added in the future?

Great idea.  I would like to track Carbs as well.  Similar functionality to the calorie counter, with targets and a database look-up of common foods.

Information is truly power.  Armed with the information I get from my FitBit calorie counter, and nothing else, I was able to loose 30 pounds in 4 months, seemingly with little effort.  My next focuse is to reduce carbs, because they are bad for my heart and digestion,  but also learning that certain carbs are detrimental to brain function.

I agree, but why can't we have it all? Carbs AND calories on my fitbit.

Add me to this list as well.

I would love for the glucose tracking to be on the android app.  It would be much easier to pull it up at the doctor's office to report my readings for a month.

Counting the amount of sugar intake daily is as important as sodium or fat. Please add this metric to the food log
Thank you!

Couunting the amount of sugar (carbs) would be very helpful to diabetic.

I would also pay for premium if I could track glucose and maybe blood pressure on the app. I'd love to see how fitbit would do it. I think it'd be awesome.

I would be interested the option of counting carbohydrates rather than calories.

As a diabetic and new to Fitbit, I would like to see a meter device that would be developed by Fitbit that would upload results automatically to Fitbit.  I'm currently using a OneTouch meter and then have to manually enter my numbers.

I'm "pre diabetic" and keeping a close meal by meal, snack by snack on carbs is very important in my efforts to avoid crossing the line to diabetes. Please make carb tracking a part of these apps just like calorie counting

Would be nice if they had a column in the Premium Food Report that subtracted out the fiber from carbs to get net carbs, for those of us on a low carb diet counting carbs.  And also a graphical representation of net carbs.

I completely agree

I definitely agree that carbs are more important to me than calories.

I am a new fit bit user and am enjoying monitoring my achievements or lack of them, but the food tracker is not totally meeting my needs. I am pre-diabetic I need to track the glycemic index and glycemic load in my foods. I understand that there are other applications out there that do this, but it would be very helpful if these could be incorporated in the fit bit food input tracker, then I only have to do this input once.

Yes this would be very helpful as more and more data is coming out that states previous studies for instance the dash study about salt comsumption and now saturated fat intake were incorrect.  Both of the previous studies were done with poor science and stated lowering salt and fat lower health risks but in both studies they also reduced the sugar content but didn't include that in the results now after some 20 years of low salt and saturated fat intake health risks in these groups have gotten worse not better and the newer studies have attributed the positive results in the earlier studies to the reduction of sugar not salt and fat.  I am trying to have a low sugar diet and sugar is tracked on the foods but not displayed on the daily calorie counts, this would be very helpful as i know sugar is a carb but not all carbs are bad, low GI foods are good for you it is the sugars that are bad.

I have the same issue please help. How do you break the Carbs and Sugars so I can read them seperately?
