Bring Relax app back on Charge 6

I loved the Relax app, which let me do breathing exercises with my eyes closed, on my old Fitbit, which was a major reason I got a Charge 6 rather than a competing tracker, but was disappointed to find Relax was gone. EDA scan does not have the critical tactile element for breathing.

I have been using the guided mediation/relax appi on my charge 4 for years. I used it to help with my anxiety and panic attacks. My charge 4 is broken and I purchased a charge 6. I'm really struggling with the fact that the relax app is not a feature in the charge 6. Please bring it back. I have been using my Fitbit not only for my physical health but mostly for my mental health.

I couldn’t agree more. Google’s acquisition of Fitbit has led to too much control andtoo much push toward the premium membership at the expense of basic functionality. I may have to go back to the Amazfit line. It’s not like I love Amazon, but in this case they are not trying to squeeze every penny out of you just so that you can meditate on your fitness tracker.

Agreed. I just upgraded to a Charge 6 after using my Charge 2 (a birthday gift) to near pieces for 8 and a half years. I was hoping that since I jumped four generations I would be able to both retain my favorite features and enjoy an improvement to the functionality of the trackers/sensors.Truthfully, the Charge 6 has many wonderful additions, with the Relax app being its only point of lack that I can locate at this time. With my Charge 2 I would use the Relax app nearly every day. Both to calm myself and get ready to fall asleep. It was especially useful when I was without access to my phone whether by choice or by necessity. I truly hope that it is reintroduced as an option to the Charge 6 in the near future.

after continuing to use the Charge 6, I find the EDA scan useful in its own right, but no replacement for the relax sessions. First of all, you need to hold your fingers to the fitbit with some degree of pressure, which is the opposite of meditation. It wouldn't be as bad, but because you have to hold on the sides, there is no natural/comfortable way to do this. As well, the breathing vibrations aren't there. Please bring this back, say thistlesprint and I and many others!

The charge 4 relax app was my most used app on my 4, it sucked it was never truly integrated into my 5 before Fitbits (unofficial) kill switch on that Device. Now I'm here advocating for relax on the 6!

Add Relax app back to Charge 5 & 6! Taking it off is really not a birght  decision. People need to be looking at rheir phones less and relaxing more now than ever. Why in the world would you remove it? As a Breathwork Facilitator & Meditation/ Mindfulness Instructor, people need to regulate their stress and be able to look on their wrist quickly without going into their phones. The relax app allows them a chance to do that easily. This was one of the key apps I used on my Ionic and I want to use on my Charge 5. Add it back please.

I used to have one of the first charges. I eventually ended up with an Apple Watch which was a gift, but I have not been a big fan of it. I was thinking about getting the charge 6 but am disappointed to learn that it does not have the relax app. It makes no sense to get rid of something like this on a device for people who are health conscious. This may sway my decision away from Fitbit.

I just upgraded from the inspire hr to charge 6. I loved the relax feature! Used it multiple times per day! Hello fit bit person? I see people are voting and commenting. You’ve gained a lot since the last time you may have looked. Please add it back!!!

I am horrible disappointed with my Charge 6 not having the relax on wrist function that my Charge 4 had. I can't have my phone on me at work so alternatives are no good for me. It preventes many panic attacks and just generally lowered my heart rate throughout the day.

Relax App was a huge reason that I continued with Fitbit even though there were many good competing devices in the market. Relax app was special for me as it allowed me perform my breathing exercises with my eyes closed on my Fitbit. When I discovered that my new Charge 6 does not have the Relax, it was a massive disappointed for me.
Please bring it back!

The relax app was one of my favorite features on the Charge 3, I liked being able to access it straight from the watch, I don’t want to have to open my phone and listen to people tell me to breath, please bring back this feature

Hi @LizzyFitbit ,

Like another user here I used my Charge 2 until it died a couple of months ago and now have a Charge 6. I'm sad to see the relax app gone.

As it was reviewed by you over a year ago - is there any movement/update on this within the internal Fitbit teams?

Thanks

Hi @LizzyFitbit ,

Relax App was a core reason that I continued with Fitbit and am recommending it. Can you please update us regarding the status of our request?

It would be a great New year present for all of us if you bring it back.

Thanks

I too, upgraded to a Charge 6 and request that it be made available. The Relax App really helped me to wind down before sleep, but also was handy to reduce situational stress like at doctor/dentist appointments, before meetings, or before social engagements. I would really appreciate it and it would make a huge, positive difference in my daily life.

Guided breath work was what I use most on my Garmin venu2. I recently bought a charge -6 and really disappointed that It does not have a breathing app. Guess I will be returning it soon

Wow, I’m amazed at how responsive FitBit is to their customers! This app request has been ongoing since the Charge 5 in 2021, and FitBit has been glad to remind us how little this feature request forum matters. Maybe the feature request forum should show a stat page that reassures us that feature requests are occasionally acted upon instead of totally ignored. But maybe it would be easier to just bring the relax app back?
