Hi @Leon.wner, thanks for taking the time to share this product feedback about adding Spotify app to the Charge 6 with us. I noticed this product feedback was already requested on this board, so I’ve moved your post here. Please support this product feedback by adding your vote, this helps our developers to keep tracking its popularity and demand over time.
The Spotify controls on the Charge 4 were fabulous and I used them frequently. It was awesome being able to select from frequently used playlists and skip/rewind through tracks all from my Fitbit. I'm so disappointed that Fitbit no longer has this feature and delayed upgrading until the screen on my Charge 4 died and I had no other choice. It would be awesome to see Spotify integrated again, the Charge 6 is somewhat disappointing so far and that would be a positive to the upgrade rather than another negative.
Please bring Spotify back, unfortunately using YouTube is like shopping at Amazon very unethical. I guess I will have to buy a fitness watch that has spotify
If you have an android phone @Gustavopio give this app Notification Payback a go. I developed it so we can control Spotify on the charge 6. For more detailed instructions see my website.
I was minutes away from buying the Charge 6 when I realized I should confirm if Spotify can be displayed on it. Fitbit lost a customer when I found out I can’t use Spotify! I won’t buy a Fitbit until they make it compatible with Spotify. I don’t even care if it has advanced features like “liking” songs; just give me play/pause/skip!!
Nobody is going to switch to YouTube music; they just aren’t going to use the music feature, which makes it a total waste.
The removal of features like this is quite honestly embarrassing design! The only justification for something like this is a company-sided demand for people to buy more YouTube Premium/Music subscriptions which is frankly a hilarious ask given its price, bloated and unnecessary features (for people who just want music), and the current economy and culture of excessive subscription demand.
FitBit is actively losing money over a decision like this and the stingy corporate desperation of Google is shining brightly!
I just got a charge 6 and I'm regretting it! Spotify is something I use daily at work and not having controls on my Fitbit is a huge downer. I'm reading that it's available on others - why not this one?! Please please please integrate it. Thank you.
I just bought a Charge 6, only to find out Spotify integration was removed. Returning this tomorrow, since I know FitBit has a history of not listening to their customers.
Now that Google has all but taken over Fitbit, I highly doubt we'll ever get Spotify on any future devices. The continued push will be for Youtube Music.
Removing Spotify functionality in favour of YouTube Music strikes me as anti-competitive. Please bring back the Spotify app, or a universal music control app (maybe just using Bluetooth AVRCP)
I would use Spotify control on my charge 6 daily. This is not available on my Fitbit, but is on competitor's products. ... Thinking about switching unless this feature is added to charge 6 devices!
I just upgraded to the charge 6 from my charge 4. I’m so disappointed that I can no longer access Spotify on my new device. Many articles said it was possible so I bought it instead of buying an Apple Watch. Wish I hadn’t! Bring back Spotify!
I am a avid runner and knowing that i cannot use Spotify on my Fitbit Charge 6 saddens me deeply.I bought this fitbit blindly and I am very disappointed to know that Spotify isn’t supported and I will hope that it will be added some day
