Completely necessary! In some countries, YouTube Music is not so popular and yet we would like to at least control our music using the Fitbit Charger 6. That would keep us free of using two at the same time (both phone AND tracker) and it would be much more daily friendly.
@james_467 I just got a Charge 6. I have followed your tutorial including force quitting multiple times. I am not getting the authorization request in Spotify. Any suggestions? I tried contacting on your website but the submit button wasn't working.
I agree with what many have said, I’m never going to use google music or YouTube music, I have no desire for another subscription and already have Spotify. Get it together and enable the app, it’s already there for other models.
After this feature not being added, realizing my Charge 6 died after not even 2 years of use, and the fact that Garmin can STORE MUSIC ON YOUR WATCH DIRECTLY, I'm done with Fitbit.
I've been a dedicated Fitbit user since July 2010, but the company just isn't what it used to be.
This would be awesome. But make it so you dont need a premium subscription. Im not paying. I dont care if there's a few 30 second ads, just please dont make me pay for something cool like this.
Well crap! Thought my new Charge 6 would integrate with my exercise equipment and apps. The sole purpose I bought it was to monitor my heart rate on my Wahoo Bolt bike computer and while using Rouvy while riding my trainer. Was disappointed to learn that of the 4 exercise apps that are the most important to me (Wahoo, Rouvy, Trailforks, & Strava), it only integrates with 1 (Strava), which is of course the least important app to me. I was looking forward to just glancing down at my Wahoo Bolt while cycling and see my heart rate in big, bold, numbers. Now, while riding, I have to roll up my sleeve with my right hand while my left hand stays on the bars, 2' from my eyes, and try to make out that teeny tiny heart rate number before I hit a tree. So disappointing. Now I learn that my fitbit won't integrate with my favorite, and only, music app I use, Spotify. My bad for just assuming it would integrate with the above mentioned apps. That will teach me to do more research prior to purchasing in the future.
