Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

It seems Fitbit isn’t going to listen to our concerns about their unnecessary change.   After 9 years of using Fitbit we  will now be looking at other options.

100% agree. Don't change something that was perfectly good. Bring back the old screens for sleep data

I am checking out less expensive trackers. I am scratching my head wondering why I spent so much on something that only gives me a headache. I don’t need bells and whistles. I just want simple and reproducible. The “accuracy” (compared to in hospital recordings etc) is not as important to me as precision. It is simply a monitor that I can reliably equate to MY “normal.”  I hope this makes sense.

Hi Boilerboi- you’ve expressed my sentiments exactly-I’m in need of a new
device also -maybe back to pen & paper is better! I know Fitbit won’t be my
choice again.

The ‘new’ sleep interface is an absolute disaster in my opinion and not worth the Premium subscription.  I use this section every single day!  All the colors are dark, similar and difficult to read and interpret. The Benchmark data of other women my age is not visible compared to mine.  And the Restorative Sleep data input is no longer available. For the first time in 6 years of Fitbit use I wish I was using another brand.  Can the previous version be restored immediately?

I hate this new version of the sleep tracker on fit bit. I usually recommend this app to my clients who have sleep problems but I will look for another sleep tracker if this old version is not restored.

Isn’t it about time we heard from Fitbit about this disastrous sleep tracker?  Fitbit, are you listening?

THe sleep stages are still there, you just have ot switch the view to BENCHMARK, button at the bottom of the sleep graph, but idk why they couldnt just leave it alone,  if aint BROKE dont FIX IT. My suspicion is that there a re bunch of tech nerds constantly trying to change things they dont know about based on data from various places and they DONT USE THE APP or the devices.

I think it comes down to profit. It is probably less expensive to “run”  from Fitbit’s end. I cannot imagine how this new change was approved, otherwise. Tech nerds are not that ignorant when it comes to user interface… but possibly they are? I really have no idea.

At any rate, it is horrible. To other users, has Fitbit ever responded within this forum to user complaints?
(This current issue is the first time I have used this forum). I have had other issues in the past (which cost me hundreds of dollars in repurchases) but kept silent and loyal to Fitbit as they used to be the most popular tracker and I was afraid to leave them and be even more disappointed in another company’s brand. I thought Fitbit was top of the line value.

I am going by word of mouth now… family and friends that have other trackers. Many moved away from Fitbit years ago when they kept losing their trackers (as did I) due to poor band design,

The old sleep info page and chart were so much more helpful. Please bring it back or make it an option. Thanks

Yes you’re right about benchmarks. However, the previous version showed
graphs much better and history much better. It was quicker and easier to
read.

I completely agree. I loved the previous sleep tracking. It was very visual, clean, and all the main stats were presented in a way that drew your eye to them.

This new format has WAY too much text on the screens. A lot of this text doesn't matter to me on a daily basis because I've already read it. A huge waste of space and distracting to the eye.

I also can't see the data points I look at without clicking multiple times (i.e. my sleep scores as a long list... now I have to click through to week or month and the info is not prominent, it's very small. The weekly list no longer includes the color coded bar, just the hours of sleep, which doesn't matter so much to me, etc.)

The new format graphs do not have the hours and so you can’t tell at what time you wake up, are in deep sleep etc. Also the restless sleep section is now a summary rather than the graphs. All of this decreases the information I get from my watch and your program. Please go back to the way it was.

When I switch to Benchmark there is no bar data showing for comparison with “other women my age… can only see my data on the bar graph.

Yea losing actually pleasing layouts and colors for what we have now makes me want to go to a competitor. Not a fan.

Everything about the app since the 4.0.0 update has become worse. It is much more difficult to see things at a quick glance with the way it looks now. The sleep overview in particular is ugly, much more difficult to read, and, again, just really, really ugly. I hate everything about the new layout and I am seriously considering switching brands once my current device dies (and I will certainly not be considering any Google products).

totally agree!

Agreed.  I am also very unhappy with the new sleep display. This is so unreadable and apparently irreversible, that I will be leaving the Fitbit community as soon as I can. Who in heaven's name designed this change?!

FitBit's sleep timeline has become virtually unusable.

It isn't just the appearance, though that's a crucial element. It's also the ability to interact with the timeline as a single, unbroken entity. (The new version splits interactivity incoherently across four separate zones—Deep, Light, REM, and Awake.) Landscape mode is also important.

Agree with everyone on the horrible sleep app update.  Every night, it breaks my sleep into two parts. It was easy to combine them in the old app giving me a much better overview of my sleep. New app? Really awful, not usable for me at all. Please allow a choice at least!!!

For me, it's the visuals of the old display that I miss. The new screen is glaring white - horrible to look at first thing in the morning. I miss the lovely blue-based colour scheme.

Most of all, I miss the friendly sun and moon 😞

Please go back to the old format. Though the new format looks nice it is lacking data points and it's not as clear or easily digestible.  The new format lacks the sub category totals and makes it difficult to calculate them. Also comparing sub totals across different nights sleep is near impossible or at least not worth the extra effort it now requires with the new format.

Nah. It's fine. Don't listen to these narci fuss buckets; just give us dark mode, please

Couldn’t agree more. The new format is horrible.
