Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

the only way to get Goofle to correct the Sleep Chart problem in the app is
for ALL who are unhappy to open support chats, request tickets to be
opened, hammer all forms of support (ALL OF US) until Goofle gets the
message.

I don't believe the moderators of these forums tell support about ANY of
our concerns.

  • The layout is now hard on the eyes. Glary, monochrome, pale text. Ugly.
  • The sleep app is USELESS.It cannot handle broken sleep. You cannot even delete a second sleep when they got it wrong.

I just submitted feedback and it was deleted! The new update is terrible! It’s ugly and impossible to read. Bring back the old version there was nothing wrong with it! Don’t update things customers don’t want updated. I have terrible insomnia and use this daily to track my sleep and now I can’t.

I believe you're right. In the other thread requesting dark mode, the moderator said that the suggestion had been picked up for consideration. That was 8 months ago. Dark mode doesn't take more than 8 months to implement.

I concur. We have 2500+ votes here which is pretty amazing to think about. Over 2 thousand people who don't normally use these forums have made the trip over here to voice their concern. The sad thing is that since Google first announced this change, no one was happy with it, and 2 months later, no one is happy, yet. However, after thousands of complaints here, we have received zero replies from Google recognizing their mistake.

The more forms of support you reach, with the more and more users, the more likely word is to make it to the desks of the developers.

New app ui is worse all around, but the sleep summary page is the worst out of all changes. Please allow us a way to change back to the old one.

Thank you for having faith in Democracy!
I think it is a lost cause. From what I understand, Google bought out
Fitbit in Jan 2022, apparently to "Catch & Kill" it.
In Jan 2024, the Fitbit founders, James Park and Eric Friedman, announced
they would be leaving the company.
Google is apparently "phasing out" Fitbit in favor of their own PIXEL
WATCH.
By "phasing out" I mean stabbing the product and the company with a
thousand blades.

.

I have been with Fitbit since the early days, and am sad to have to let go,
but I don't think any amount of kvetching is going to sway the Google
Financial Deciders in this case.

I also wish now-multimillionaires Park & Friedman all the best. May they
spend their money, and may their next inspiration be as delightful and
beloved as Fitbit was.

Thanks for the update!!! It's depressing but I'm sure you are correct. I assure you; I will NOT be looking for a PIXEL WATCH.!!!

Perhaps those who are knowledgeable in the ways to reach Goofle, should
post links here or information on how to complain directly to Goofle.

I absolutely cannot stand the new way we have to look at sleep logs and it only shows you 5-6 days max on a week. Before for each day we used to be able to go back days and weeks and months to see the blue graph how we slept with each cycle in it. I don't understand why you ruined that and made it worse and yes everybody hates it.

Newest Sleep Update is REALLY BAD! First the one in the spring and now this! Where is all the old information - Oxygen/Heart Variability/REM/Deep? And the graph is awful - doesn't even have notches for the hours - only start and finish. I pay for Premium and feel like I have reverted to a Basic Fitbit. As someone else said, I might have to start looking elsewhere after having had mine for 12 years (a number of different models).

Yes!!! Please change the original UI back. The new UI is so hard to read, you can’t tell when you wake in the middle of the night, and stuff like that. I don’t mind having two graphs (the original UI), because they serve different purposes! The new one is BAD, and it’s very hard to read, it’s a MESS. Google, you don’t have to combine the graphs…no need to “save room” because people do read through the data. Google needs to provide a better UX, not to make it worse. The main reason I use Fitbit is because I have years of data there. But Google is just make the expensive worse and worse with these unnecessary, not pretty, non-improvements. How do you expect people to subscribe to your premium service if you’re making things worse and worse?

How do I create a ticket?  I was on the FitBit Community site but didn't see anywhere to create a ticket.

At this point, I just wish they'd fix it so I stop getting a million email notifications that someone else posted, even though the check box to receive notifications is unchecked! This message board works about as well as the updated app.

Its been a few months now and I am still mad about how Fitbit mangled the sleep tracker! If its not improved my next fitness tracker wont be a Fitbit.

I'm 100% in agreement about the new sleep tracking data display. It's terrible! Please bring back the old one!

On that one, it was easy to compare our sleep stages with those of others. Now all we have to delineate others' sleep is a vague bubble that doesn't even include any stats. No numbers to delineate the range at all!  The graph showing our sleeps progression is also much harder to tag than the old one! Please bring back the old graphs!!

The new sleep analytics suck. I keep asking them to change it back or fix
it and they don’t listen.

This is all on Google. They're too big to care about anyone. Before Google, Fitbit would have listened to customer feedback, and at the very least taken the time to address the community. Over 2 months in and we have nothing. @LizzyFitbit 's message about taking it into "consideration" means nothing. She said the same thing about dark mode 8 months ago. She just copies and pastes generic responses.

I agree, roll back to the previous version. Keep the new pallet if that float the Fitbit boat. I especially need the functionality where I could touch anywhere on the nightly profile and get the exact times and durations of each individual event like awake, rem, etc.

Now I can only guess with the valueless static summary graphics.

I found a way to fix the Sleep app problem. I went to an Oura ring (pricey
but good). The sleep tracker graphing is so much better than the Fitbit
detail. It is similar to the old Fitbit sleep graph but provides more
detail. The new Sleep graph is horrible and Goofle (Fitbit) doesn't seem to
care that thousands of customer agree

Bring back the old display data with dark mode and moon. This mode was easier to read and interact with when waking up. This new version is washed out and blends into page and too bright. Why does tech insist on changing things that work and not improving those things that need it. Disappointed.
