Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

At the bottom of the screen in the app, touch the YOU icon. You will then see a screen with the word COMMUNITY in the middle with four pictures below it. The one on the right says FEED. TAP it. Then you see a screen with a question, “What are you up to?” To the right is a small figure of a running person and a crescent moon. Tap there. The next page has all the original data formats. Tap on any of them to see your data as it used to be. What a pain!!

Unfortunately the work around does not include the benchmarks.. and getting
there is a pain in the butt! I do hope they fix the current graph and bring
back the old, tried and loved layout 🤞🤞🤞🤞

IT WORKED! Thank you very much. I assume I will have to do it every day?

@SleepyZombie agreed, still is only a look but don't touch scenario.

Time to start looking at alternatives, I have used Fitbit for years because of it's superior sleep tracking and reporting 😖

Me too. Going to go with Apple Watch next since they at least listen to
their customer complaints.

Good job! And yes very cumbersome but what we're seeing is not the program. We're seeing essentially a screenshot, a report of that moment in order to share with others. It's not live, it's not interactive, it doesn't take us to other screens as the previous version did. It's just a picture. It's not active and helpful.

Disliked the new screen the moment it updated, but was trying to give Fitbit the benefit of the doubt… but it’s been a few months so I can say this now:

I HATE the layout.

It’s too hard to read. The colours are too muddy and it’s too hard to figure all the tracking out .

I’ve used fitbits for the at least the last 5-7 years and really liked it.  My current Fitbit is on its last legs… but given how bad this update is (and google swearing they can’t fix it?) I’ll probably have to switch to an Apple Watch.

I appears on my screen as a NONfunctionng screen to SHARE if we wish. It's
not the old program but just SOME OF a representation of that day's sleep
data.

Am I wrong? Does it actually function for others, and not just a "picture"?

Fitbit has become a trash product. They have shown in hundreds of ways they
no longer value current customers.

I appreciate the workaround that was posted, but like others have said, that is just a quick snapshot of the sleep graph. You cannot tap on it and see each sleep stage more specifically or use any of the functions you used to be able to. I also agree with @SleepyZombie that it doesn’t fix the view of the benchmark graph and 30-day average graph. The low/high oxygen variations page is also inferior. And my experience has been that the actual tracking is often not accurate. I have had it not even track my sleep twice now or not recognize when I wake. That never happened before! And if you have to slightly edit the sleep tracking, they’ve made that more difficult too. Fitbit is clearly not the same since Google took over, and Google clearly isn’t listening to their customers and/or doesn’t care. For those of you looking to switch to Apple Watch, I hope you find success. I am one of those who have an Apple Watch by day as I love all of the other functions of it with my iPhone, but I use my Fitbit specifically for the sleep tracking because it is (was) far superior imho. That is no longer the case. I have tried third party apps for sleep tracking, and NOTHING worked as well as the old Fitbit sleep tracking.

I agree with you completely. The short and long of it, FitBit is now, due to the “update”, an inferior product from the tracker it once was. I am now an Apple user. IF FitBit had listened to their customers’ input this would have had a different ending.

Totally agree. When a company stops caring what their customers are saying it usually goes downhill from there!

You are correct. I now have an Apple Watch and would have preferred to keep my Fit Bit with the OLD sleep tracker

I totally agree.  I find the sleep tracker totally inaccurate as it thinks I am asleep when I am sitting reading a book/watching tv so I was always having to go in and edit sleep start time.  The new design makes this almost impossible to do with any accuracy, so any sleep insights are totally meaningless.  I also find it very difficult to read compared with the bolder design of the origin display.

Absolutely correct! IS ANYONE FROM FITBIT READING THESE POSTS?

+1, it's a shame that we don't have anymore any info about the start and end hours of each cycle. I cannot understand how a product manager validated this regression...

And most importantly (for me anyway): restore the ability to edit the night. I only realise now how often I need to do this. Probably because I am a bad sleeper and wake up a lot, relatively regularly, fitbit "decide" that I have a ludicrous short night (e.g., 1h40min, recently). With the dashboard, it was really easy to correct start and end time for the night, but apparently impossible on the App, resulting in completely screwed up sleep stats.

I’m not planning on renewing my premium subscription when it expires this fall. If enough people do that, Google might get the message.
