Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

I track my sleep everyday and HATE the new changes.  It is very difficult to read and I like to see what time it is when I wake up in the middle of the night, but now have no way of knowing now.  The old version was better.  It is also difficult to read the heart rate tracker as it is also very messy and the colors blend together. Again 2 versions ago was the easiest to read.  I am so disappointed in the update that if it does not change I am going to fine a different tracker.  I have had 3 different Fitbits over the years and have really liked it up to now.  Hopefully someone will hear us and change everything to be more user friendly.  I am also disappointed that in the user agreement to post comments,  Fitbit doesn’t even have to read any of these comments and now own the comments and can use them however they want.  Really despicable.

First it as eliminating the Challenges, Open Groups, and the lively Community Feed because of the Open Groups. We also know that this is the last year you will be able to have a Fitbit sign on as you will be forced to have Google. This has fragmented what I can see from my FitBit friends as some have gone Google and wish they could revert back. Then the stark white interface which now requires scrolling and more scrolling to see everything. Last straw is the forced & lousy sleep graphs. Bland color, difficult to interpret, naps aren’t calculated — it’s a hot mess!!
I have believed in and supported Fitbit for over 8 years now. These changes are not an improvement. Google has fragmented the Fitbit Community and has stripped away the reasons that kept so many of us loyal. I have little faith that Google will allow us to revert back to the old sleep graphs as we so hoped Challenges would be restored after all the complaints. I’m not sure why I’m posting all this as it will fall on Google’s blind eyes / deaf ears.  These changes are NOT improvements!

I agree. There were many benefits to the previous data.

My main reason for the Fitbit, is for  tracking my sleep. This new format isn't user friendly at all!!!

I want to see the different stages of sleep with time stamps, and  the same with the Oxygen levels. It's all blended together and can't even be read correctly.

What good is in the app if you can't read the information.

Please fix the bug that's causing all this chaos in the app.

Maybe Fitbit users should consider a different product, I'm thinking a Samsung smartwatch is in my future.

Definitely not liking this update.  The main reason I chose Fitbit is because of the sleep details.  I relied on being able to see how long each sleep stage lasted.  If there's no improvement,  there's no reason to keep using Fitbit.

Today the format of Fitbit changed on my iphone, I hate it it is cluttered and not user friendly. The sleep tracker was the most important feature and you are no longer able to see when you were awake and for how long. Ditto for light deep and REM sleep. Unless the old format is reinstated I will not subscribe again

All of us here think the new design makes sleep data harder to interpret.....

Please bring.g back the previous layout!

Worse than the previous one in every way I can imagine. Whoever is responsible for this should find another job.

The new Fitbit Sleep graphs are so much harder to read than the old ones.
Over the last two years the quality of the information and feedback has drastically declined.
When my Sense dies, I will switch to an Apple Watch.
Im tired of getting less and less for the money I pay.

Word of advice: when you want people to pay more for features they already had a few days ago, add something new that’s great—don’t take things away. Not being able to see sleep percentages anymore makes the overall score feel like meaningless gibberish. It was the one thing that made the FitBit different over similar devices. Now what’s the point? I will never pay for premium out of pure spite! Nice job!

The new sleep summary view is terrible.  How do I revert to the old one?

We need to start alerting all the tech media. I keep expecting to open my
WSJ, NYT or news feed to blasts about this. It's got to be a deal breaker
for Fitbit's usual great ratings.

Please bring back the old format!  HATE the new one.  What a jumbled mess.

I was thinking the same thing! Any influencers on this string that can get this info out. Some bad publicity may help the cause. I’m sure this post will be taken down.

I have sent an email to Matt Evans of Tech Radar after he had posted a good
review on 11th April telling him that his review didn't match up to the
reality of the matter and I included 5 sleep screen shots especially one
which didn't show any benchmarks/ results for people in your age group.
His sample of screen shots didn't include this detail.

I haven't heard back from him yet but I did get an 'out of office reply'
saying that he was out of the office last Monday and at a Technology Show
for most of the week and would have only minimal access to emails.

Is any one getting any benchmarks/ results for people in your age group on their sleep data charts.  I spent 45 mins on the phone to Fitbit last Monday 22nd April and after a load of tinkering I was assured that the benchmarks would appear after the next full night of sleep. I still havent got any  benchmarks.

I sent an email to an online tech reporter a few weeks ago...I never heard
back from them, but glad that other folks are thinking that too. It would
be good if everyone that posts here sends emails to media outlets. If they
get enough letters, perhaps they'll look into it as a story.

The new sleep update is unclear, faint and difficult to read. Is it possible to bring back the old one? It was much simpler and also easier to read in a horizontal line as opposed to the jumble of faint lines that appears now which makes the relevant information impossible to discover. I have just cancelled premium because of it as the previous sleep information was much more informative and clear.

If it ain't broke don’t fix it. My husband and hate the new sleep format. This is one of the most important features for him. Please bring back the old one.

Please bring back the old sleep summary. The new one is too busy and very challenging to read. This is one of the important features to me on Fitbit and I no longer look forward to looking at it every day.

New sleep format on Versa is by far not an improvement, visually.  I would think an update would improve perhaps not only data collection but a much straightforward and easy to read and follow screen result.  Unfortunately, this is not the case.

Not getting age related benchmarks either. I think WSJs tech editors would be interested in this. It's related to Google's takeover of Fitbit and all the competition going on w Garmin, Apple watch  ( Fitbit was total winner due to sleep app in my comparisons w friends) Pixel /Google watched have same new format we got .. so they are out of running.

Whats remarkable is the obvious uproar and uniform revolt of dedicated users to these changes.. which seems to be going unnoticed

I did text chat w someone today who acknowledged the users roar of disapproval and said development folks were working on it. ( At first was just pretty much told this was the new interface. Period.)

If you Google, WSJ has good contact resources for its writers etc. so maybe also NYT etc. Also Facebook posting would maybe reach writes etc as would the "influencer" suggestion( my skill set predates this... But surely this group has access to those channels!)

If we are tuning into films and documentaries about Nike and Blackberry.. this critical and potentially **ahem**ing decision on Google or Fitbit's part should surely be of interest as a bottom front page addition if not a full investigation of what ever changes at Fitbit/Google are rocking the boat!

Since my earlier post on benchmarks I have been on Fitbit chat and the guy
told me that it was a known bug and they were working on it and it should
take a few days to correct it.

He told me that i didn't have to do anything but that they would just
reappear. I'm hoping a few other things may 'just ' reappear.

I've done what I can on the App store, Trust Pilot and writing to Tech
Radar but I'm with you there should be many people with more up to date
skills than you or me.

I expect this post to get delete.
