Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

And, @jtpryan, before you answer back that they added history I should point out that I'm quite aware of what is a weak acknowledgment in an update.  Woopy!  It now shows duration and sleep score for a whole week!  In the previous usable version one could not only page back months but each day was presented as a color graph indicating stages of sleep with sleep score and time metrics.  Touching any one of those produced the detailed sleep chart in its former, quite readable format.  That's gone and many more than me are angry about that.

The 30 day average just repeats today's Sleep stages.

@rcfoulk yeah, you may be right. I thought the history everybody was
talking about was the stuff right below the chart in blue and red (in the
original version)? But I would be the first to admit I may have missed
something completely. Then when somebody told me about the stuff on the
"You" tab was there, I thought that was the history. Is that not the
history?

I agree! I am angry too!

The updated sleep graph is hard to read, and pretty useless. The other design, and don’t act like you have no clue what I’m referring to, was easier to see and included percentages of awake/light/rem/deep sleep stages. Telling me how long I was in a stage from minute to minute is not helpful. Please change it back.

I agree with the others. Bring back the more detailed sleep stats on one screen. I have clinical insomnia, and the previous sleep stats were better for reporting to my sleep specialist.

Also, I have a new Charge 6. Most days my sleep time takes several hours to appear on the actual watch, and sometimes it never does. Or I'll get the sleep time, and no sleep score. I have to open the app on my phone to see those details.

I’ve not been keen on the recent updates, the colours are insipid and graphs difficult to look at. The front screen is not as intuitive as it used to be.

What’s missing for me, is my heart rate throughout my sleep. Its just gone.

I've worked in IT production for more than 40 years, during which time I've encountered "Let's Make This Product Worse for No Apparent Reason" syndrome more times than I care to remember. I could write a 40 page paper describing the functional stupidity that usually lies at the heart of reducing application functionality for no apparent reason to annoy business users by slowing their workflow, losing your company money and handing an advantage to competitors.

Suffice to say, in this case, the end result is that I can no longer drill into the sleep graph and separate the sleep stages to see exactly the start and end times of the various periods.

I'm now scanning around to see if there's a better app.

Agree! Guess I haven’t updated my app that I only saw the changes today. The app is hard to see with all neutral colors and had to look around for info. I understand the change to neutral colors but can Fitbit add an option in settings so users can choose which layout and color scheme to use, between the new and the previous one. Thanks!

I don't like the "new" format of my Inspire 3, especially the sleep mode.  As a senior citizen (over 70 years old), I have a set routine at bedtime, @10:30PM sleep start, 6:00AM out of bed.  I frequently waken after 2-3 hours of sleep, get out of bed briefly & return to bed to continue sleeping.  Aside from the new reporting format, the new update restarts my bedtime at the time I get out of bed, e.g. 12:55 AM.  The report I get shows the data from the new start time until I waken in morning.  I want to see the data from the time I start the sleep feature until I say I'm out of bed in the morning.

I agree! The old sleep”map” was so much easier to read. I also can no longer turn my phone to see a larger view. The previous version with the color blocks was much easier to get a quick glance at how I slept. This update is definitely not an upgrade! Perhaps Fitbit can give us an option between the two?

Agree. They downgraded it and just ruined it without even giving us a
chance to just keep it the way it was.

It was easier to read on a phone and it allowed one to enlarge certain graphics like the sleep data by clicking on them. The new design is very linear and thin. It does not read well. The change in colors does not add anything except a change. Not being able to selectively enlarge parts is a game changer. I have started looking at other options.

Please bring back the old sleep display, with dark blue, light blue and red. The new display graph is AWFUL. I used to be able to see the night’s sleep summary very clearly in one glance, now it is a tangle of meaningless bars. Why mess with a perfect display? See other users’ comments with the same feedback! Just bring back the previous display.

Yesterday I tried finding out if I could use a different app with my fitbit to get better sleep stats again. I downloaded Google Fit and Google Health Connect. To get these to work, I had to make multiple attempts at signing into my Fitbit app with my Google account. Now today I can see my sleep stats the old way in my Fitbit app! Awesome! But does anyone know if this is the case for everyone, or is it because I signed in with Google? I'd rather remove the Google sign in if I can, but don't want to muck up the sudden reappearance of the sleep stats!

I totally agree. The new update is terrible and I will be canceling my premium membership.

Yes - it’s been a while since the sleep display was changed and I still dislike it. The older one was easy to follow, this new one is too complicated and, very very difficult to workout times of activities.

please please pleae reinstate the old format

I agree with the others.  The new sleep feature is nothing compared to the old one.  Bring it back, please???

This update is less visually pleasing and conveys less information. I've also found it less accurate at soon as the update happened. I'm usually dreaming when my alarm wakes me up and that is now always recorded as time wake

I absolutely hate the new format. Please bring back the old multicolor version. It showed the sleep stages more conveniently and concisely, including the oxygen variation. It was perfect in my opinion. The new format is inferior and disappointing. I can’t fathom how anyone could see what was done as an improvement.
