Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

Mine goes back andd forth - sometimes I don't get anything! I never take mine off.  Sometimes it has all of the modes - it's just weird. Had various fitbits for 12 years. May have to go with an Apple Watch

I’m with you on this one, I never take my Versa 4 off except to charge for a couple of hours every 8 days. I can’t rely on it as it doesn’t record anything properly with the exception of steps.

I’m on a cycling holiday and it doesn’t record any cycling or walking for that matter.  Looking at sleep stats is a waste of time.

In fact, I have lost interest in it as the only thing it does is tell the time.  When I get back from my holidays I’m seriously looking for a new tracker but what to get.  I want a good app and I can’t tell what that will be like until I’ve connected a new tracker - it’s Catch 22.

Agree with other users, the new Fitbit update is a downgrade. The new sleep update is difficult to read and not user friendly. This is discouraging me from using the app.

The new update is useless. I am losing interest and it has me seriously thinking/researching watches/sleep trackers. I have had a Fitbit for years to monitor my sleep. This graph is useless. You can't read it. Bring back the old version. Please. How many comments/complaints do you need?!

I’ve asked and seen messages requesting the old summary page since the change. Fitbit doesn’t care!!!

The new “improvements” to the fit bit app are terrible. Sleep graph is hard to read, exercise page took away cardio vs fat burn minutes for “moderate, light or peak,” and the colors are so boring now. Bring back the old app settings!!!

Why did you all find it necessary to make this change.  Not good.

3366 comments and STILL us users aren't being Heard?! Fitbit was phenomenal until it fell into the hands of Google. It's been going downhill ever since. Fitbit users aren't being acknowledged. If the point is to discontinue Fitbit, then put out a statement saying that's what's going to happen. Don't hide behind banning, blocking, deleting and putting out defective devices just to get some type of Revenue knowing you're putting out terrible, worthless products. It doesn't say anywhere in your community standard terms and conditions that what I'm saying is not correct. I'll challenge that any day of the week and so should any & all users!

Google/Fitbit does NOT want to hear from us about the horrible sleep app.

I was able to open a ticket to request a fix to the sleep app. They
politely told me they were looking into the problem and would report back
to me as efforts continued on fixing the issue.

They closed the ticket with absolutely no resolution, apology, or other
remediation. NOTHING!!

Google/Fitbit is getting absolutely nothing from us who are complaining. It
will COST them to fix it, we have already spent our hard-earned money on a
product they are now ignoring. They expect new buyers to suck it up and
live with it, because they don't know what was lost.

Fitbit has demonstrated IN ACTION that they DO NOT CARE about current
owners!!!!

Still absolute trash… it would be one thing if we just had to navigate the horrible new graph but since the visual change the accuracy has also become pure trash… I no longer bother to check my sleep because it tells me I was in REM sleep when I am standing up brushing my teeth.
The product has been ruined. Bravo.

I gave up on Google’s FitBit (Sense) app and got a series 9 Apple Watch. For me the main “pro” factor for Apple is the accuracy of the assignment of sleep stages, in particular awake or light “core” sleep. The FitBit usually characterized actual awake times as light sleep. I had to manually reclassify those times in order to get a more accurate Sleep Efficiency score, which I need for Sleep Restriction Therapy. The Apple Watch does not seem to make this type of classification error.

On the con side, like the new FitBit app the Apple sleep stages graph can’t be rotated to give it extra room for reading the stage times.

Another unfavorable factor for Apple is the inability to override the time registered for the start of sleep. Even though I am manually setting the start and end times before bedtime, the Apple Watch makes its own decision about when to start tracking, sometimes much earlier than the preset time and other times later. The FitBit is similar in behavior but has the advantage that one can easily change the start time for a completed night and the app will then recalculate the sleep stages. I can’t find out how to do that with the Apple product. Perhaps it is not allowed because the Apple algorithms demand that it use the times it calculates.

So I have a FitBit that I need to dispose of. I won’t offer it to anyone, I would rather recommend that they look into the Apple product or another brand of sleep tracker.

I used to check my data daily but now apart from looking at hours asleep I don't use the function. It is difficult to use and understand.

Please restore the old system.

It’s an adjustment, but I am now liking the new format, as it is given to you in two different ways.

The old one is still available on the app on the "Compose" page. A square with an arrow facing up appears at the top of the page on an exercise summary. Tap on the box and the "Compose" page appears with Exercise, Food, Weight, Activity, Badges, Photo, and Sleep buttons. Tap on Exercise and you will see your activities history with the familiar heart rate graph as with tapping on Sleep will bring up your familiar nightly sleep graph. I only wish that Google would put this square box with upward arrow on the today page of the iOS app instead of keeping it hidden on a session report. If you have no "exercise session" on the current day to tap on, use the directional arrow to go back to yesterday's exercise and tap on it.

By the way, the heart rate graph that appears from the "compose" page also has the seconds recorded on it with steps, avg heart rate, and calories burned.
