Browse Activity List

Would like to be able to see list of activities available to chose from.  Now I just have to guess eg "Yardwork" is not on list but "gardening" is; "cardio dance" is not but "Zumba" is, "strength training" is not but "weights" is.  For those of us who don't think about activities the way the creators of this list do, it would be nice to see what the choices are.  Don't tell me to just enter the first letter of what I want (as was suggested as a solution to the last person who asked for this)  -- ithat wouldn't work for any of the above activites I tried to find.

Agree!  I have many workout DVDs too but it is difficult to add these exercises to the app.  I also have problems with exercises not synching from the IOS app.

I agree a browse activity list is highly needed!!  I also have many DVD workouts and when I add them manually, I have no clue as to what to log for calories burned.  I've seen suggestions on another site recommending the use of a heart rate monitor....  I don't know about anyone else, but when you take the time to log all of the daily food and activities, you just want to be able to make selections from a list

Fitbit should outline different activity types
I would love a list of Activity Types and the uses/examples.
There are a lot of discussions by users debating which activity type to use for various kinds of workouts and activities, plus plenty of talk from moderators about how the algorithms are different and important. Any chance the creators of the algorithms could enlighten us as to what specific activities the activity types were designed for?
For example, what specific activities did they have in mind when they created:
Cardio vs aerobic
Cardio sculpt vs circuit training
Etc.
A lot of work obviously goes into developing the activity types. And users are obviously committed to the Fitbit hardware as well as their own activities. It would be great to bring those two together!

Yes, I’m just getting started and would love to see a list and what each exercise on that list includes. I have no idea the difference between aerobics and cardio. I would have guessed them to be the same thing. Also seeing a list might give me ideas on new hinges I might want to try.

Good idea, thanks for taking the time to share it with us. Keen to hear what others think?

I agree; it is tedious to enter the entire alphabet to try to find the list of activities.  I also tried to enter "yard work" and it took me awhile to find "gardening" which I think is similar.  If I had been able to pull up a complete list, it would have been more efficient.

I consider the two hours a week I spend, an hour at a time, a big part of my cardio schedule every week.  Would be nice if I could add this to the shortcut list as an option.  I'm certain others have other items to add to the shortcut, would be nice if we could add these custom items to the shortcut instead of just the exercises you've selected.
