It's been a year since FitBit commented on this post saying they were looking into adding challenges to the dashboard. What is the current status?
My phone is broken and because it was custom designed it will take a while to get a replacement to me. I can't see my challenges that I joined before my phone broke and I can't join or start new ones. PLEASE add challenge info to the online dashboard!
Is there any update on this feature request? There are hundreds of replies to the forum post (I know bcs I started it :)) all clamoring for Dashboard Challenges. Seems like such a simple tweak with a huge customer satisfaction upside for FitBit.
I urge everyone who has commernted on this post, to post to there facebook, instagram, pintrest what ever, & ask all yur friends to vote for this feature, I know I have been, I don't have a cell ph, so the challenges are useless to me, & that really sucks!
I've mentioned this before, but for the folks who missed it. If you're running Windows 8.1 or Windows 10, the Windows Fitbit App allows you to participate on challenges. You can run it on a desktop, laptop, or tablet... And the Windows 10 version allows you to sync without the need for a dongle.
Since it seems like you're new to challenges. You can click on the individual challenges (see Goal Day above) to get the leaderboard, chatter, and notifications.
Sadly, it still means that folks who have:
Earlier versions (pre-Windows 8.1) of Windows
Mac
Chromebook
Are not able to participate from their computer yet. Though it seems that Fitbit is looking into it.
We need to have the challenges on the website. Not everyone has a smart phone and to have all this information on the dashboard why wouldn't this show? Please also put back the step tile please. I like the graph on that better. I don't want to have to view the activity chart. I just like to see my steps. Thank you for your consideration!
It would be very helpful if one could view Challenges in the browser, and not just in the app. I spent ages looking for Challenges on the Dashboard before finally realising that this feature wasn't there.
It seems like an odd choice to limit this to the app, not least beause not everyone has a smartphone/tablet, and many who do may prefer using a web browser for such things anyway (I fall into this category).
Hopefully you can get this sorted at some point soon
My cell phone died today and I have to deal with Apple to get it replaced. I am not happy to learn I can't see the challenge I am in on my lap top (Macbook). I can't understand why FitBit hasn't responded to the large number of requests I see here asking that the challenges be visible on the web app and I am adding my request for that to happen ASAP.
My phone is down for the count and in the mean time I need to use my comuter for the next 4 months (I know crazy, but I cant afford a new one). I have challenges all the time and I cant seem to accept them. Plus I bought my kids and grandmas fitbits recently and they don't have smartphones. The whole idea was to challange ourselfs and get the kids motivated to move and be active more. Please oh please add this to online dashboard.
Another vote for Mac support. Browser or in an app. Windows people are good in that they generate money for the rest of us who need to be able to actually USE our computers. 🙂
Please make challenges available on the dashboard! I can't challenge my Dad without it! He's 70 years old and has become so active since getting the Fitbit from us for his birthday.. this would be another way for us to connect with us on a regular basis.
I have numerous challenges going on at any given time. I would love the ability to view all my changes on the dashboard page of the Fitbit website. Sometimes my phone is not available and I'd like to see where my step count matches up to my friends...
I also think this would allow some who may not have a smart phone to join in on challenges as well!! Right now they are missing out 😞
Still no solution over a year later? The web interface is platform independent so there's a conscious effort somewhere to avoid support for Mac desktops/laptops. I suggest we all rate the Fitfit.app low stars on iTunes/Play Store. If inclined, also write a poor review due to unsolved challenge issues and false advertising on the box.
