I would like to see my Challenges on my computer, not just on my phone.
Also, why are we limited to only 5 Challenges at a time?
And there doesn't seem to be a way to delete completed Challenges...they just randomly disappear whenever the system feels like it, it seems.
I think there is a "bug" in how Challenges work: I am getting a message that I can only participate in 5 Challenges at a time, but I do not have 5 open Challenges at the moment. I have one Workweek Hustle, which I've been declared the winner of, so that is a completed Challenge (but I can't seem to delete it, as mentioned above). Then I have two Weekend Warrior challenges which are finished now but are awaiting sync. So I can see how those are "open" even though they're not truly active Challenges now. I have two Workweek Hustles that I've initiated and one other that I've been invited to. I cannot accept the invitation though because of the completed Challenge which is still hanging out in my feed...
My phone was stolen yesterday, and now I can't see the challenge that I'm in. Not sure if my steps are even syncing to it now. And I can't install the app on my PC because I don't have Windows 10. UGH!!!
Are challenges available on the dashboard yet? I still can't find a tab, it's sad by many of my friends can only access the dashboard so we can't challenge! Or are we just missing it?
Besides adding challenges to the web dashboard, I never even got to see the results of the last challenge I participated in. We should be able to view or save the results to our computer.
Would you talk to Fitbbit developers and ask them to please, please, please put the challenges out online so they can be accessed from the computer as well as smart phones? That would be the best Christmas gift ever! (after a fitbit of course)
This was first requested over a year ago. C'mon Fitbit developers! Surely it can't be THAT hard for you to incorporate challenges into the website. You already have the code for the iOS and Android apps.
I'd also like to see this added to the online dashboard. I sent an email to the team and they suggested I write a comment on here. lets hope we see this added soon! 🙂
I too would like to be able to see and accept challenges on my mac. I have received a challenge via email but have no way of accepting it or indeed of setting my own challenges. Denying mac users the ability to respond to and issue challenges detracts from your (otherwise great) products. It upsets lots of your customers and should be a fairly straightforward fix. So why is nothing being done other than an extremely long period of "consideration". We are all being directed to this page to register our thoughts but you appear to be completely ignoring them. Please do us the courtesy of a response and an update.
This has been "under consideration" since October 18 2014. Has there been ANY progress? The least you could do would be to give us some sort of progress report or update.
I would be happy with any kind of official update. Are we wasting out time asking? Is there some significant technical problem we don't understand? The idea that this device can update from my steps to my phone to the web in seconds shows the developers are good. What does it take to add this to the interface?
I have looked at this post and do not see any updates from anyone from FitBit. Is this really a hard thing to add? Its said under construction for what looks like since this post was started over a year ago. Some people are old school and don't have smart phone or tablets. And a lot of people like me are at a computer all day and some of us can't have our phone out, but would like to be able to check on our progress and challeges via the website.
Can someone please give an update on whether or not this is even beening worked on or considered???
There is a thread called "Challenges on web dashboard" that concerns making challenges available to be accepted issued or monitored via laptops and computers rather than just via mobiles and tablets. I was directed to it by someone from Fitbit. However, there has not been a single response from Fitbit to the hundreds of requests on there that have been accumulating for well over a year, other than the initial response from October 2014 stating "Thanks. We are looking into it" and a status of "Under consideration". What is the point of these forums and discussion boards if nobody from Fitbit can be bothered to even respond to them.
Treat your customers with some respect please and answer us.
Adding yet another person here who wants to be able to view challenges on the desktop dashboard please!!!
My iPad and smartphone are too old to sync with my Charge HR. So I have to use those to track any GPS activity and food and sync with my laptop every few days.
Its a bit of a pain, so it would be really handy to at least see my challenge data without having to sync and then use another device to review the challenge.
I can't seem to vote on this, but here is my text vote. PLEASE add the challenges to the web based dashboard. I am on my computer more than I am my phone. I keep missing challenges and friends are no longer inviting me. <violin can be heard> 🙂
Clearly (and sadly) Fitbit does not care about this feedback (9 pages of it)... this suggestion was submitted in November 2014 and nothing has been done over a year later.
From the Feedback and Submission policy:
(i) we shall have no obligation to review the submission;
Unfortunately Fitbit has a large population of users who want this relatively straightforward code addition to the web-based application (which would benefit all users).
By missing out on this, Fitbit may ultimately lose customers to some of the growing number of competitors in this market.
It's sad because Fitbit seems to have a decent product which was one of the first in this market space.
That is 'very' true @epef! It makes me wonder if the hassle or even time taken to suggest ideas would even be acted upon on this forum or for anything else regarding fitbit for that matter. Sigh*
